Pretty cat.

Sorry for your loss.

14 years is a good full life for a cat.

That must be painful, sorry for your loss.

It's a good reminder to be mindful of our time, both in relation to ourselves and others.

Using Leo's videos, Understanding Impermanence and What Is Death to cope.

@Leo Gura if you're reading this, which videos do you recommend for this situation?

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

We lost our little dachshund recently, sorry to hear about your loss. Animals, in their presence and passing, reveal what many still miss. That consciousness is fundamentally relational, and that anything else, is more of a cost not a reward when it comes down to the raw meaning of life.

I’m of course very devastated by this loss. We adopted Cruizy when he was 1 years old and I’m 22 years now. So you do the math of how old I was when we adopted him.

Cruizy was found by my mom’s coworker when he was less than one year. He was found abandoned in a field of a farm, covered in scratches and barbed wire.

The coworker attempted to raise Cruizy, but he was actively terrorizing the other cats she owned, so much so that the other cats were getting depression.

So to see if the other cat’s depression could be alleviated, she gave my family Cruizy. This was supposed to be a temporary thing, but he later grew on us.

Cruizy was with me for the bulk of my childhood. Through all of my life problems and successes. From middle, high school, through college, I remember Cruizy.

When Cruizy’s heath was getting worse, a day before he died, I sat with him in the basement alone until midnight.

When we first took him home, he sat in an alcove (or nook) in the laundry room for days. I had to lure him out with meat. But right before he died, he went back to the same nook in the laundry room, where he hasn’t been for years, where I would later discover his body.

I suggest you use this thread to help in the grieving process. Make it your little diary where you post things that you can reminisce about and express your thoughts and feelings about your devastating loss. When my mom died, that's what I did and it helped me to go through that difficult time. I ended the diary when she got buried. I was still grieving, still am, but it's at another level where it's out of love and not pain. I'm lying!! I just shed a tear writing this. It's OK, it's still out of love. It will never go away, but it's a healthy grief and not destructive.

Death of a pet, which I also experienced about 6yrs ago, my beloved cat, pumpkin, was also hard and I swore I would never get another cat. Then Titi, my current cat, appeared out of nowhere 2yrs later. I say nowhere because I never planned it. One never knows. I feel your pain. Let it take it's course, however long it takes.

@Princess Arabia I think this thread is good enough.

I view this forum as an extension of my family/friends, so I wanted to share this moment.

Cruizy was there when my grandpa was still alive, who saw Cruizy through Skype calls as he lived in Russia, so this cat was a historical family relic.

@Husseinisdoingfine I'm very sorry for your loss; Cruizer is very beautiful. I lost a black cat couple years ago; the best companion I've ever had in my life and I never fully realized how intimate the companionship we can develop with other beings other than humans, its so beautiful.
