Reverse Osmosis water filter query

2 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

Looking to get an RO filter, wasn't able to find the APEC countertop RO filter in the U.K, but i've found this one which looks really good to me (although i'm very new to RO)

just wanted to paste on here before purchasing in case i'm missing anything?

Also, I wasn't able to find the APEC filter's lab results to compare to the AquaTru, but looking at the lab results it seems really good overall, unless i'm missing anything

Link to lab results here:

Question 1: Anything worrying here?

I've done quite a lot of research on different filters, and it's almost been unanumous that this AquaTru filter has come out as the number 1 choice in terms of filtering across many people (but I don't think any test compared it against the APEC under sink system @Leo Gura mentioned, so I wouldn't know how it compares to the APEC)

Question 2: I was also thinking,  after filtering from here, could I put the water into one of those zero-water filter jug things, to further remove any lead etc, if needed?

here's a review of the Aquatru going through a lab test

i've seen there's these tapscore water tests to test all the chemicls, metal etc in your water, but they're hundreds.  It's a stretch for me to even afford the AquaTru filter right now let alone the tapscore test.

Question 3: Are these tap score tests (or any other tap water test) vital?

Or will I be alright to just start using the filter and get a tap score test done later down the line?

thank you, I appreciate it

Don't know about your first question.

No jug is going to remove lead from water. The only way to do that is with high quality, expensive, filter membranes.
