How did ya’ll discover spirituality?

How did God wake himself up?

I’d started watching a ton of conspiracy theory videos, and it really made me realize how much we don’t know, how many secrets and things hidden from us. I started getting into stuff about the pyramids of Egypt and the Nicola tesla’s 369 shit. I was also at a low point in my life. I was an addict, smoking weed 4 times a day, vaping and porn all day long, and I just felt like shit. Somehow, I came across a meditation video, I don’t remember how I stumbled upon it—but I decided to try it out.

Something about it intrigued me, so I kept searching, and found my first spiritual video from Astral Doorway about chakras. Even though the whole thing seemed kind of surreal and magical, I somehow believed it. Something just clicked. And I was the last person you’d expect to get into anything spiritual—I’d always been an atheist and super closed-minded. But from that moment, the spiritual grind didn’t stop.

Sam Harris was my bridge.

I respected his opinion quite a bit. He came across as very intelligent and was helpful for me in deconstructing religion. So when I saw he was interested in spirituality, that spiked my curiosity.

I will not break, 'cause I've been riding the curves of these infinity words and so I'll be on my way. I will not stay.

Can't remember if this coincided with me experimenting with nootropics but a day on the beach I suddenly felt intense joy, and began reading books on joy which lead to Osho, and Osho lead to everything else.

But even before all this I had read The Power of Now out of curiosity and gave it a mocking 1-star review out of ignorance.

Also had a full blown sartean existential crisis / dark knight of the soul but didn't reocgnize it as anything spiritual at the time. 11 months of negative nihilism.

Leo Gura. Now I have graduated to nothing and nobody.

When I say Leo Gura was the first, I mean Absolute 1st. Was getting dressed and heard and saw this bald-headed man on my screen talking shit and i instantly resonated. Only other stuff i heard about God before was the Christian God and I left that stuff years prior.

I was a virgin when I met Leo. Now i've surpassed him and became enlightened while he's become a Buddhist rat hater. Hehe. Don't mind me, I'm silly. All true, except for the enlightened part. It's just the Absolute appearing as enlightened or not enlightened.

Had no idea of spirituality, beyond religion and new age woo woo. In 2009, was on an anniversary vacation with my gf on the Oregon coast. We took alot of mushrooms, like 5-6g each. I had a full God Awakening. Afterwards, I wanted to know what happen to me. as I had no reference. In doing research, I discovered Nonduality teachers, and they seemed to understand and teach what I had experienced. That was the start of the path.

In my early teenage years there was a glimpse of something but then watching actualized. org opened a lot of doors.

Leo Gura. my family was ramming spirituality down my throat my entire life, and it felt very incomplete and major components and structure was missing.

All of yellow was missing, and Leo’s work bridge the gap.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

I’m 34. I was raised religious and always felt a strong connection to spirit. I smoked 4-aco-dmt at 19 and that really changed my perspective. I did more psychedelics and felt like I started to understand the “connection”. At 22 I attended a 10-day vipassana retreat and that’s when I realized I was on a serious path. That’s kinda how everything started for me.

My first shrooms trip helped me raise my consciousness enough to become aware of how much I thought about others thinking about me. I don't know why but I had never just YouTube searched "How to stop caring about what others think of you?" and ta-da! Leo Gura, my glorious king!

I was struggling in a low state, when I stumbled upon this song by Nuages. I looked up the voice speaking in the background and discovered Alan Watts. That led me to an interest in meditation, so I searched how to meditate. The first video that showed up was by Leo, and the rest is history

Actualized.org. I had probably read or watched videos about spirituality long before that, but I was never aware of it until Leo talked about it.
