Make Psychedelics you more motivated or lazy?

Could it be that psychedelics make you more powerful and strong because you get new self confidence and energy or more unmotivated in general because your mind and body is more loose and less rigit so less self discipline?

Edit: Let's take for example shrooms because every psychedelic has their own effects.

I think it depends on the psychedelic, where you are on the path and the trip itself. Can't really generalize here I think.

In my experience it's either I'm super energetic or neutral/detached but not lazy.

The very first time I did psilocybin mushrooms I did 0.8 g and I left home after 30 minutes of consumption thinking that it didn't work and my friend told me that he apologized but I told him it's okay I give him a hug I told him thank you and I left. As soon as I went home I sat down on the couch because my body started feeling tingly and the TV was on and my little brother was playing skate game online, then suddenly as I was looking at the TV and the characters inside the video game skateboarding, my entire sense of consciousness jumped out of my body and I went and teleported inside the video game in my Consciousness and the characters became one and I was inside the video game looking around stunned that the character became alive, or rather my consciousness became one with the video game and in that very moment I unlocked a secret of the universe of consciousness and I knew for certain that Consciousness is boundless and without form.

Then what would seem like an instant my Consciousness shifted right back into myself on the couch and I looked at my brother and he looked at me and what appeared to be slow motion, he said to me " you took them didn't you"? And I looked at him and smiled. Within 2 to 3 hours of the trip I got so excited but my entire body was stoned and you could just tell I was intoxicated but I grabbed my skateboard ran out of the house and jumped on the bus to take me to the nearest skate park and I got on that bus and I was stumbling and people are looking at me like what the heck lol. But I was so excited to go out and skate and live because I discovered that Consciousness is absolute, because for Consciousness to have the ability to not be bound is extraordinary and gave me so much energy. Before my life was dull and now it is vibrant and alive, I definitely felt motivated if you ask me

Yes, imagine the first time you ever had sex or head until you cum, now take that feeling of exhilaration and excitement a 100,000,000 x more when you discover and Awaken to an existential Truth of Reality.

Realizing and having a direct experience of your consciousness being independent of the body brings me exhilaration and awe. Space and time are illusions of eternity and infinity.

That same trip I also was mentally in the middle of a crossroads of infinity. I was in the intersection of realities Cross connecting, I could see lives come and go, decisions being made and universes creating and destroying, stars explode, astroids collide, life forming, different species and the struggles of my ancestors all the way to my immediate family.

From my last trips Ive done with Malt I always came out with an intense desire to push my life forward in exactly those places that most need attention. In my experience it brings attention to what is really meaningful - this doesnt necessarily mean push harder in the gym or study longer hours. This often means value your most important relationships, have a hard conversation, value your health or face some of your inner blockages.

From Shrooms I mostly get a refreshed sense of aliveness and appreciation of things in my life, which may translate to increased curiosity and an increased desire to learn new stuff.

How did this played out? You saw short images of stars exploding in your mind and next second astroid collide and next second life form? In chronological order ? Just one scene after another with closed eyes?

I know visuals on shrooms are not really stable and chaotic.

Could it just be that your ego has build a timeline to make sense of reality and what you saw on shrooms was just your ego phantasy of how everything was built, stored in a imaginative timeline? If you were Christian this timeline would look probably different.

@OBEler

Our notion of time is linear, I was in a non linear non-local state of consciousness.

You think you have a mind that is projecting thoughts, but I can see that reality is infinite mind, not happening to someone. It is happening of itself.

It could be from your point of view, it is an experience, I cannot give you that. I am not religious, but I am very inquisitive, love to learn different perspectives and I value consciousness exploration and unraveling deep existential insights. Could be delusional.

No doesn't sound delusional at all.

I just had never such an experience , I don't take strong doses,  so I am always wondering how this is possible.

@OBEler

The mind can do anything. I haven't done psychedelics in a 5 years, my last trip was very challenging, the mushroom told me to focus on improving my life situation, save money, take care of my family and focus on my work. Then I can come back when all my ducks are in a row.

Interesting that always the mushrooms tell you something. But not so other classic psychedelics like LSD, 5 Meo etc.

Psychedelics just expand your perspective. How you choose to move from there is independent of them.

I'd say they reduce motivation for most people, long-term.

Dwelling in spiritual insights, self-love and deep intelligence is great. But does not seem to correlate with more motivation in the physical world. They can really shift your motivations, which can be disadvantageous for physical structure minds.

Psychedelics make me more motivated, weed makes me lazy. Psychedelics show me that I need to use my life properly to , weed makes it okay to do nothing.

Exactly. That's the difference.

It depends on the trip and my intention. If I use it for the purpose of enhancing my life yes. If I use it for Absoluteness and Infinity usually no.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

If you're using them as an escape mechanism, as I have during a certain period, that will absolutely make you depressed and unmotivated. But thankfully I've overcome that and crossed the threshold where all of life is divine, I'm crazy passionate about everything I do because I'm conscious how it's all God. Couldn't have gotten there without boatloads of trips, that's my story anyway.
