How are Disney movies programming me with epistemological assumptions?

I remember Leo in his blog video about why the media is corrupt, where he was talking about bias. How as long as someone is identified with something, then it is impossible to look at reality from an unbiased perspective. A man, a Democrat, an American, or even a human, as long as someone is identified with one of these limit and finite forms, it is impossible to look at reality objectively. 

But then Leo veered into a very strange direction, when he said that innocent culture was not innocent at all, and was programming us with certain metaphysical and epistemological assumptions. So those Disney movies I watched as a kid? I show them to my child. Because I loved those Disney movies! That's where the programming starts. And those same Star Wars I watched as a kid? I show them to my child. And the same University I went to? I send my child to that same University! Leo, what's wrong with that? Isn't this just innocent and harmless culture. Which, apparently, it isn't. It's programming us with certain epistemological, existential, and metaphysical assumptions.

What? How? How are Disney movies doing this? So if I have a kid in the future, I should not show them the childhood movies that I watched as a child. What existential assumptions could I possibly get from watching Soyuzmultfilm [Союзмультфи́льм], or Disney, and them showing it to my future child?

It teaches that being the good guy is what's best for you in the long run, that bad guys eventually lose, that the world is ultimately fair.

Disney's illustration of love, it's criminal really. Like it's a feeling you get, that's not love it's infatuation. Love is commitment, loyalty, respect, caring.

Let your kids watch Disney movies.

You can't be so pure in this world. Corruption is everywhere and you can't avoid it all.

Most media for kids feeds them fantasies, but kids need some fantasies to get them going. You don't want to blackpill your kids with brutal truths about the world.

At 21 let the bombs begin if the newly minted adult is sound enough.

Most of course will rather the happy ever after - fiction their whole life.

I would say that if you start in your teens it is likely because you are coerced or manipulated.

At 21, your decision ability is unquestioned.

At 20, I just wanted to stay up all night and party.

If you only start that at 21 you're fucked.

By 21 you should already have 1/3rd of your life built.

I am exaggerating a bit, but sorry, I have to set a high standard for young people. There's no time for games.

If you are behind, do your best to catch up. Do not wallow in dispair. No matter what you must make the best of wherever you are.

At 21, you’re still a child.

Sure, you need guidance, structure, and higher values to aim toward - but at that age, you should be just as concerned with making friends, dating, partying, exploring, messing up, and learning from all of it.

The list of people who skipped that part of life and ended up deeply stunted, perverse, or unhinged later on is virtually endless: Osho, Marc Gafni, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Sam Bankman-Fried, Mark Zuckerberg, Adam Neumann, Elizabeth Holmes, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Tate, Donald Trump, Kanye West, Jared Leto, Shia LaBeouf, Marilyn Manson, Jim Carrey, James Franco, Friedrich Nietzsche, Michel Foucault, Howard Hughes, etc.

People who repressed their youth, only to have it erupt later in strange power fantasies, sexual confusion, or spiritual delusion.

Even I see traces of this in myself - though I only skipped a few years of social life between 19 and 22. I can’t imagine who I’d be if I hadn’t had a stretch of fun before that, and now again in the past couple years.

Fun is not optional - it’s integral to development.

Not that i would bar them, they'll see them at their friends house or the movies. But I won't be a bad example watching stuff like that.

What I said still leaves plenty of room for fun.

You can work 10hrs a day and then still have fun for 3hrs.

But you cannot afford to play for 10hrs a day and work for 3.

I didn't know anything at 21, but I sure wasn't a child as in under my parents direction, that seems very unhealthy.

For me, 21 is zero years old as an adult.

It's the beginning of everything.

Before that, distraction is crazy mainly because you are still growing into what you are.
