New Age Scam by Tony Robbins

40 posts in this topic

https://spaphotonique.com

My girlfriend watched Tony Robbins video where he recommended this product and she just paid $1700 for 30 hours sitting on this energy healing chair.

After doing research, I want to rip my eyes out. It’s just a basic new age scam.

They even sell pendants and crystals that prevent ageing for $500 each. 🤮

This is what happens when your mind lacks rigidness and you’re lost in hallucinations and dreams, scammers tailer their scams to appeal to you.

Energy healers that are not giving you a complete holistic package of how to improve your health from every possible angle know nothing about healing and you’re dealing with low level green New Age spiritual nonsense.

There is no magic pill that’s going to heal you. Grow up. There is no Magic chair we’re just gonna sit on and heal yourself. Grow up. There is no magic pendant you can wear and stop ageing. Grow up. No magic crystal that’s going to help you stress levels. Grow up.

It’s all placebo.

And you’re extremely affected by placebo because you’re hypersensitive to how everything makes you feel.

How something makes you feel is not energy. Grow up.

Stop projecting.

It is all assisted forms of meditation, not magical energy transferring from one person to another.

You are Hypersensitive to how everything makes you feel and so you think energy healing is real.

Stage green self deception.

Energy = How something makes you feel.

Give me one example that this is not the case?

Positive emotion and healthy mindset will help you heal your body. Obviously. If you sit in a room with nice decoration, it will make you feel good, especially if that decoration aligns with your identity like New Age decoration. If all the people in their room, talk to you nicely you’re gonna feel good the room. The environment is preparation for the meditation session that assists you and makes it far stronger for you. You don’t need to buy a $500 pendant. It is a placebo, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work, it will work, because it fixes your unhealthy mindset. The only problem I have is that you think energy is real and think everything is magically healing you.

I‘m sorry whoever thinks there are such magical chairs are dumb.

Basically the room you’re sitting in has nice decoration, smells good, and nice people and so it makes you feel good so when you sit on that chair for a few hours it gives you relief, gives you relaxation, gives you healing.

Well yes maybe the people around it can create better vibes. I went to a non duality meeting at it did feel a bit psychedelic at the end.

The problem is that people think they would notice whether something is a scam or not without understanding that a scam has to have something that works for you in some way.

I guess it’s not a scam then because it does work.

It’s basically meditation, but they’re tricking you into meditating with a positive affirmation.

The problem is, it lacks truth. The people that are helping you are corrupt and lack integrity, and are going to extract money from you whenever they can.

I would say that it lacks transparency.

I think they are interested in having your attention from the initial effects so they, as you said, could extract money from you.

@integral Well, did you sit in the chair?

When it comes to Energy healing, placebo, etc... What's tricky is that:

1. There is a lot of bullshit

2. You don't know enough to tell the difference.

Energy healing, has a lot of promise. But, it's not an easy thing to develop skill or knowledge in.

There is energy healing going back 5000+ years in China. It's not all newage.

In fact, I think of lot of you guys meditating would benefit from Pranayama and Qigong which are Energy working practices. I've been studying with Dr. Yang Jwing Mind to deeper understand Qigong through Chinese and western perspectives. There is legitimacy there. Qi, is a real thing and learning about it could help you.

However, I personally know nothing about this chair.

I post this because it's important to make fine distinctions.

Placebo is a real thing and wise person would knowingly use it. Placebo is far more profound and powerful, than it's given credit for. Which is why people control for it, and struggle to make medications that out perform it.

As westerners, there is a new healing paradigm forming. But, how we sort through it... that's going to be tricky.

This is true of any healing modality.

However, authentic energy healing can play a role in helping the entire body heal itself. Because, that's what the body does in most circumstances, barring extreme diseases.

If you are going to use a hammer, don't use it to screw in a light bulb. (however healing isn't as simple as screwing in a light bulb).

I am not a new ager but I am studying a 5000 year old history of Chinese medicine. Which, is actually in many ways far more holistic than most western healing modalities.

Now, Pendants and chairs? 500$? I mean... probably not guys. I don't know anything about it.

The body does of a highly complex, and FOUNDATIONAL "bioelectrical" system. The truth is, energetic healing is a holistic modality and deserves respect and openness to do the research around it. Now, does this chair work? I don't know.

The secret to staying young is to not think about getting older. Buying a chair to make you stop aging will make you age as you are trying to prevent something from happening.

@PurpleTreeI think its a fine line, you cant not think about it ,its more about not reacting to the thought about it. Trying not to think about it is a reaction and one that indicated displeasure with the thought. So don't think about it if your brain dosent bring it up but do think about if is it does but don't react cause its not real.

I mean more of don't react to the words that trigger you in your mind. Notice them think about what the words mean could happen then let it go.

What is happening is imagination has an idea it shows you, you say no! This cripples your infinite imagination into going in that direction because of fear. Your imagination wants to think about it and let it go but the person won't making it have a higher chance of happening via manifestation methods. Just the wrong manifestations.

Next time your imagination thinks about something you like do the fear method and see if it will manifest. Big booties? No! I can't handle that do not think about that it would be terrible.

I believe very strongly that this stuff is useful. I just don’t like when it’s not aligned with truth.

If I think about sex, I’ll get an erection clearly my thoughts and my perspective has a direct effect on my biology.

If I think about stress or view everything from a stressful lens it will create stress hormones, and age me faster.

If I think about peace, beauty, love, wisdom, and meditate from this lens, it will have a direct effect on my biology.

If there is or isn’t any energy biometric system or not it really doesn’t matter it’s all very effective.

Placebo is real and useful it’s just not aligned with truth.

What’s the truthful version of placebos?

Tricking someone into mentally masturbating to health, relaxation, healing, and love is just as useful as not tricking them.

But most people need to be tricked into it… it’s sad.

There has to be a better way

@integral Placebo is extremely aligned when truth when it’s used with integrity.

Please note: You haven’t proven or disproven the efficacy of these chairs. They could be great for promoting the bodies healing if they nourish the Qi.

Yes. And this is a big problem. I had a discussion today with my girlfriend about this. How a well known influencer faked it with lies until they made it, and in that process they learned marketing. Because of course you can become a decent marketer regardless of whether you are telling the truth or not. So now this influencer has sort of laundered their past away and apparently does have some decent information base products to offer but these skills were built in exchange for integrity. It lacks truth and it’s not someone you should really look up to even if they have developed some valuable skills through telling lies. The same applies to stuff like this. The person is harnessing their power as the creator but doing so out of ignorance, stage green new age superstitions.
