@carterfelder No he does not. The constitution was drafted to protect against leaders like him. That's literally what it is for.

@PurpleTree Damn good question. I'm just waiting for him to declare non-supporters enemies of the state. Keep in mind, we are becoming Russia. Ask yourself, WWPD (What would Putin do)?

I do think that people need start being careful about what they post on big tech servers (google, facebook, twitter, etc). We already know that DOGE is harvesting data and using AI to analyze it. Here's one example:

One thing we really need to keep an eye on is if we can no longer access services such as Proton Mail, VPN services, Tor, Signal. If any of you are on any social media platforms I would advise you to follow the ones that I mentioned and keep an eye on the happenings. Maybe subscribe to slashdot and one or two popular cybersecurity groups.

We already live in a surveillance state, the question is, how far are they going to take it?

At some point they will shut down everything.   It's our job to see that they don't.  And who is "they?" anyway. 

I guess be more specific if you want a specific answer.

No because it's just impossible. There's only so much that the Trump admin can control. They can control official channels but they cannot control the whole internet or intellectual media space.

Freedom of speech can go away inside the Federal departments. But then there will be leaks. You can't stop speech.

He may believe he values the Constitution, but intention doesn’t excuse actions that clearly contradict it.

I mean the price of eggs has skyrocketed but are we really scared that the current president will cut off freedom of speech? 

Musk is a moron and now I would truly hate to drive a Tesla.  I'm so glad I didn't buy one.  But guys...this ain't Nazi Germany.   If you think it is you may as well join the dudes vandalizing Tesla dealerships.
