It's not about the country, it's about the specific locations within. There are crap and great locations in most countries.

Country is too broad of a measure for lifestyle. You gotta look for pockets of awesomeness. Even within a city there are crap and great parts.

I agree that countries have good and bad locations. But still, on average, some countries are way better than others. You can't really compare Somalia to Norway. Third world countries are only good for their elites and foreigners from rich countries with strong currencies. Most women will love you too if you are a foreigner because you will be seen as high status.

Take, for example, the state I live in right now in Brazil (Santa Catarina). It is a great state, but it will still be subject to the economic and political instability of a poor country.

Can't you find online work while living in Brazil that will give you the salary of the 1st world but the spending requirements of the 3rd world?

Some time ago, I thought about freelancing. Easier said than done. I have to compete with a lot of Indians, for example. Chances are I will spend a lot of time getting good at something and still won’t be able to make a substantial amount of money. Decided to become a doctor and then get the fuck out of here to a good state and city in the USA.

I think there's likely going to be a big down turn here in the u.s., and I'm planning on carpetbagging when the dust starts settling. I've been working on business plans for a long time, it seems like a golden opportunity to me.

I think it will be bad for poor people and crime but i'll be fine, and I want to vote for state offices.
