If you have the money to get out of the USA, why haven't you?

Unless you are part of the 1% benefitting from Trump's policies, if you actually have the money to relocate and you aren't doing it, you are absolutely insane imo.

Where should they go though?

Its better they stay in the US and fight against the Orange and the Elon and their gang.

If yall wouldn't mind relocating to a third world countries or to eastern Europe, then yeah it could be aviable option. This assumes that you would be able to hold down a US job while living abroad, and not that many people can do that

Althought ofc I expected the thought train wouldn't go this far, given the great discrepancy between American positive view of their inteligence vs their actual inteligence and financial literacy

The second I got a remote job that paid highly I fucking bounced and never looked back. Best decision ever.

I’m guessing you speak Spanish so you went to South America?

Yeah I speak some Spanish. I lived in Mexico in a yoga beach town for 4 years, for me, at that point in my journey, it was heaven. Cheap, warm, hot girls, simple life, nature and tons of workshops, yoga classes and ecstatic dances to mingle with community of people pursuing consciousness. It was a magical time.

Eventually I got a bit burnt out on Stage Green, always talking about emotions and not taking real action in life, so I now live in Brazil. My girl is here, she’s Brazilian, and is so solid. For me it’s much better dating and relationship style

You talking to me? Politics hasn't rotted my mind and based on your posts you talk and think about it about 10x more than I do. And you haven't even moved to and lived in another country so I have no idea why you even weighed in here.

I left USA and it's way fucking better. 2.5 years away from it. When you've done that it would be more appropriate for you to post in this topic.

I'd consider Europe or Canada but fascism is on the rise everywhere and the global economy is also taking a huge hit from the USA's betrayal and chaos. Europe also has to worry about aggression from Russia now, so there's that.

I'm not sure it's safe to go anywhere

I left in 2020, no regrets

Same. Kinda shocked the founder of this forum, who posts a shit load about politics all the time, assumes inherently wanting to leave the USA means you are too engaged in politics. I barely read the news.

Yes. I don’t think Leo is in a place to comment on this too much. Leaving the US has been so good for my mental health and happiness.

Not sure how that’s “rotting your mind” -seems biased

Trumps polocies will effect the whole world, other counries to a lesser degree perhaps. But in terms of war it could even be worse. USA doesnt have much to fear because it is that strong but other smaller countries do. But the world is still somewhat in tact, maybe its a good idea to leave when its clearer to see how things will play out.

I think for some people in the US like students or scientist who get their funding cut, or trans people its a good idea.

I love this country. I don't love this current governement but I love the people in it. I love my friends and my family. I'm not going to abandon ship over some temporary political upheaval given that I'm not in a dire situation.

I also feel like this video is an interesting perspective to add to this conversation:
