The Profound Effect Of Leo's Teaching

14 posts in this topic

I just want to share this in case anyone else has had a similar experience.

Seeing the depth of Reality that can actually be explored and the levels of growth, spiritual connection and awakening, creativity and innovation that can be unlocked and explored based on what Leo's blog and teachings show, has actually deeply moved me to consider never getting married or having children, purely so that I can free up my entire life to pursue this realm to the same depth that Leo has. It's so inspiring to see just how far the rabbit hole ACTUALLY goes. Makes marriage seem boring to me personally. His latest blog posts about unlocking the capacity to innovate and create using more and more of God's infinite mind excites me 1000x deeper.

Anyone else feeling the same way?

Right now I have this insane fire burning that is making me rearrange every aspect of my life to serve the highest levels of self-actualisation, it's so awesome!
I want to design life to serve the highest possible vision, which is so difficult because there are so many aspects, but man it is so fulfilling.

Only reverse-osmosis filtered water, only glass products, only organic food, books, Leo's teachings, spiritual practices, contemplation, retreats, life purpose, removing every toxic habit that has been conditioned, designing my environment, psychedelics and on and on and on and on... I won't have time for marriage and kids lol.

@Leo Gura you are one incredible role model for what a 'human' life has the potential to be - I hope one day I manage to get through all the books, all your videos, all the practices and everything in between to reach such insane levels that you have and also bring new innovation and creativity to this world.

You can do all that and still have a girlfriend.

Kids is more complicated. But I don't want you to get the idea that you don't have time for kids. Remember, life is long. You can accomplish a lot in 20 years and still have kids.

But you got the right idea about the crazy life purpose potential here.

@Leo Gura I definitely do think I will find time for a girlfriend/wife but kids I think is something that would definitely take too much away from the levels I want to reach. I think I have more of a bent towards being a reality explorer than a father, despite knowing I would be a great father if I chose to have children. I am 27 so I still have time to work hard, contemplate this and decide as I go along.

But I would be lying if I said a solo (no kids) life filled with life purpose, psychedelics, spiritual awakenings, innovating creativity and deep reality exploration doesn't appeal to me WAY MORE. Also because I really love quiet and solitude a lot and autonomy.

Is marriage something you would ever consider?

A relationship yes. The legal notion, not a fan.

Realistically, how many hours a day would you spend on your marriage and kids?

Some things you will actually lose on by cutting them out even if you gain more time to do "more valuable" things. For example, you can save time by not eating or sleeping, but is that really going to benefit you in the long run?

Let's say you spend one hour on average of fully-dedicated time on marriage and kids every day. If you put that hour into work instead, that would be your least productive hour anyway (late in the day with high fatigue and low energy). You might be better off just resting at that time (and no better way to do that than with family; but yes, sometimes it's not so restful, but it should be most times).

Also, giving yourself a break and taking in new stimuli can lead to insights and breaking through stale patterns ("disruptive practices"), which is very good if you value creativity.

In divorce your wife can take ownership over actualized.org, your revenue and access to your hardware and software

@Leo Gura

Some guy who made a living being boxings top pound for pound fighters recently filed a divorce against his ex-wife after she slapped him. The court gave her ownership over a $300,000 g wagon that he bought as a family car and she took the kids from him. A week later she married a black man. I don't think she's coming back after that

I like his point that your life should be so epic that you can sit down and be moved to tears just thinking about your life. Regular marriage is garbage imo, it's an institution meant to stabilize society and unite two struggling peasants together and help them reproduce.

I like the idea of having an anime harem and taking on world changing missions with my (positive) sex cult.
