It’s a shame Trudeau had to resign as prime minister. As a German, my exposure to him was obviously limited, but I always enjoyed hearing him speak and saw him as a strong ally to Europe - a leader with clear values and integrity.

The popular choice right now for the upcoming election is Pierre Poilievre of the conservative party. If he is a populist (I don't know much about this guy), he is nowhere near Trump's level. But I guess that's obvious. No one is near Trump's level

The carbon tax is bullshit. I was watching old archived news of Canada and I saw one from 1982 and they were talking about carbon emissions because of acid rain and they were saying that they were going to cut it. I looked up the carbon emissions and it has done nothing but gone up since then and they keep talking about it as if they solving the problem its 2025!

If we use a ton its cause everything is so far away.

He seems to be running on a platform of "anti-wokeness". Same as the GOP in the US. Canada would best learn from the US and how we got to where we are now.

I don't think you understand the amount of advocacy I've already had to made for him. I run a politics group chat and I would have to meditate about half of my waking hours to not lose my cool but I'm learning a lot and it's productive lol.

He's committed to axing the tax himself for canadian consumers and only doing it around businesses. It's not because that it's not an immediate success that we should give up on it.

@LordFall  I dont really have a problem with this guy so far but nothing has happened. I didnt like Trudeau because I felt like he wasnt doing anything, but thats it I wasnt  hater. If hes good with money maybe he was what the americans needed. I have never heard of him before.
