Doing good in the world

1 post in this topic

Recently I read the book "moral ambition" by Rutger Bregman. It talks about how most people waste their talent for meaningless jobs when they could instead work on the most important problems in the world like poverty, climate change, desease, hunger and many more. Among many topics covered in the book there is one which I liked the most. Its also fairly easy to put into practice. Its about charity and how we can donate our money in the most effective way. Most people arent donating at all and many (me included until I read the book) think that it doesnt really work. For that there is the website give well which analyses many different charity organisations and presents the most cost effective ones. The book suggests to donate 10 percent of your income to some of the most effective charity organisations. I think this is such an easy thing to do if you are financially somewhat well of and I can garuntee you that it will enrich your life. You will probably have a more optimistic outlook on the world. and you will feel better about yourself aswell. So come and join me and many more to finally do something really meaningful ;).

@Leo GuraVideo suggestion for Leo: "Practical guide to improve the world."
I think this would make for a great video. You could go into all the practical ways with which people can do good. And why its so important to not just talk the talk but also walk the walk.

Much peace and love <3
