If war happened in your country and you could flee, would you stay to fight or flee?

This is just a hypothetical question.

The war could be anything. You could be invaded, you could be the one that invades or it could be a revolution. Anything that has to do with war.

I didn't know in what thread to put this, I think it belongs in this thread.

If Trump were ever to invade Canada, I don’t care that I can’t pass the physical to join the military. I’m getting armed one way or another, and I’m going to fight.

But for real, I'd join Canada's side, as an American. Hell, I'd join Mexico's side if he invaded them. This as a lifelong American patriot.

Unless it’s some warmongering nation then maybe I’d be inspired to fight. But I dunno, it’s such a foreign situation to me so I can’t really know how I’d react I guess.

I don't give a damn about my country. I would literally wipe my ass with everything my country represents. But I'd fight for myself. For the half and acre of land that I own and for my house and for the safety of my family. Because I know the day russian soldiers set foot into my village they will rape and pillage and castrate the men who inhibit the village. So I don't flee. I will give my life fighting just to not allow the russians to do harm to my family.

I'd fight or at least support the war effort however I could assuming it is a just war and not just another picnic in the middle-east.

I'm not considered fit for service though due to a coagulation defect but they are just being Tinder women with their ridiculous wish-listing. I only ever suffered from it once during a large-scale surgery and I wasn't even conscious then. I might have a bad leg and poor eye sight but I'm fit, I can shoot and I have a warrior spirit. They are missing out.

Thought about that as well at some point. Its a calculated decision. It depends on the type of war, how much value I would likely create for the world when I would flee, how fit and psychologically stable I am for war compared to others, my personality type and how much I could support my country without fighting.

You gotta be realistic, going to war is like suicide. You either die or you get at least a shit ton of trauma that you take with you for the rest of your life.
