This is a friendly reminder.

That 90% of your potential is wasted.

If you're not doing 45 minutes of intensive physical activity every day.

What do you mean wasted?

Flow states are exponential improvements not linear. The bulk of your potential is untapped.

With exercise you become a more fluid conductor of consciousness.

If you're not in a flow state when doing deep work you're losing 90% of your potential.

And exercise is necessary to lubricate your system enough to reach Peak flow.

Unless you're young and you can hit these states through great health.

Even then as you get older the more necessary it is.

Definitely, mechanism of neuroplasticity plays a role.

You also increase the number of mitochondria in all the cells in your brain.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Intuitively intense exercise seems good to me. I’ve gotten much better conditioning because of it

Are you still exercising these days?

You said you wanted to become "stinky," but I think you only talked about nutrition.

It is a bit masochistic what they do yes. Courtney has said in an interview she ENJOYS that place they get to go to in ultra running where it “hurts really bad” she has ran so hard she cried of pain even. She’s crazy yes. David Goggins is the craziest.

Any sense of accomplishment is masochistic from a certain point of view; otherwise, we'd just let ourselves die for peace; it's the "fort-da" of Sigmund Freud's children.

It doesn't resonate with my karma; I'm not a very physical archetype in general, more mental/emotional; a bit like Leo.
If what I'm saying makes sense.

Pro bodybuilding lowkey looks ridiculous but each to their own.

It might be attractive in my system to look "tough", even if I would never be a bodybuilder since it's still not worth it.

Combat sport seems masochistic and sadistic lol. That’s kinda crazy too.

Over the past few years and even more so in the past year I've really started to learn the importance of this and WHY it's important.

We've always been told to exercise, but I feel like most people don't know why they should be and specifically what kind. People need specific instructions.

Society is chronically sedentary. Most people simply just do not put their body under any sort of health strain or tension.

I've only recently been educated about healthspan. I'm surprised it's not talked about more. You ask 99% of people what healthspan is and they wouldn't have a clue. Yet it's the primary reason we're supposed to be regularly exercising and doing strenuous exercise!

Walking around at your job is not exercise, despite some people's belief. Most people that walk around at a job, even physical labourers, are overweight and have very low VO2 max.

I've been aiming to hit atleast 180 minutes of running/biking each week with 20% of those runs being HIIT. And then the other days are weight training with more focus on functional movements and a move away from mindless muscle building.

I’m still trying to lose weight I’m following a caloric deficit . Diet is most important for weight loss.

Ive started to workout like 3-4 times a week. It’s spelled “SKINTY” btw😹

I can get the Leo part. Not the first part but it’s ok. You mean accomplishment requires suffering maybe.

@Sugarcoat ideally you want to ramp up your metabolism by developing an athletic body and an athletic mindset. Caloric deficits are doing the opposite and are counterproductive to the real goal of becoming a highly functional person.

I could eat like a lunatic and I'll never gain weight it's basically impossible.

Focus on getting as strong as possible, as athletic as possible, as coordinated as possible, as mentally fit as possible and your other goals will come into place automatically as a side effect.

All the things you want are side effects of having an athletic body.

And you can achieve that in less than 6 months because the body rapidly rebuilds itself.

All your hormones in your body will change in less than 6 months and you'll wake up feeling like a completely different person.

I completely agree! Society provides wrong reasons for avoiding everything, like smoking, they focus on distant consequences like cancer instead of the immediate negative impact on the quality of life due to addiction and dependence, every moment of your life is worse and diminished because you have a dependency. Society's unholistic thinking leads to unconvincing reasons.

A computer desk that doesn't have exercise built into it is basically unusable. It destroys your body it destroys your mind you need to leave your desk which is a vital part of work and do something time consuming outside of it when really there should be exercise incorporated into the desk design.

It's like having a bedroom with no oxygen in it. Who designed this, its definitely not for sleep?? lmao

Exercise is as important as breathing its just a lack of it kills you in a different way.

Why does everyone let sleep outside the party... it pains me

Sleep is vital but you know let's motivate people one step at a time. lol

I'd recommend everyone gets a dumb phone. Most sleep problems are caused by people bringing their phones to bed and doom scrolling until midnight.

From what I’ve heard more muscle mass means higher metabolism, so that’s maybe what you mean?

You mean calorie deficits do the opposite, slow down metabolism? Maybe I don’t know but it’s necessary to lose weight and it’s working for me I’m already down a little. If I eat too much I will gain weight

But bottom line athleticism is important I’m trying to gain better conditioning and I might start strength training down the road

Since I started swimming everyday I’m feeling really good! Thanks for the reminder. My morning routine is meditation, Breathwork and Qigong and swimming. Boom! The Qigong is good for stretching and undoing the tension of the swim.

I meant that karma determines what you're willing to fight for and therefore suffer.
We don't have the same karma, so what seems like a waste of time, what I'd call "masochism," to me, is actually a rabbit hole for you, and vice versa.

The issue is it's not sustainable and then you're going to gain it all back which is a common trap.

The mindset/goal has to be I want to become as strong as possible.

And from there you will get everything you want.

Gaining it back could happen if you don’t watch what you eat. Caloric deficit is not sustainable but it’s only temporary to lose weight, then when you reach desired weight you’ll increase calories and eat at maintenance. I plan on counting my calories when I reach my desired weight so I know how much I need to eat for maintenance. I think that could work

Becoming strong is a good goal in general I should incorporate some strength training too

I still don’t really understand what karma means lol

But yea everyone is different and see different worth in different paths

What do you mean to a suicidal degree? Like he didn’t care about living because he had no self?

Your upbringing, traumas, etc., have forged an identity (well, the idea that the world forges identity is an illusion from where I'm looking, but that's just to illustrate) and you seek to maintain it; I haven't thought enough about whether this is a dynamic caused solely by the great game of survival, but in any case, it's ego.

I don't have the same identity, the same beliefs, as you, so automatically I don't care about running for long; if I had to run a marathon, the "death drive" (libido) would prevail over the life drive (narcissism), and I might not end up giving up lol, but jogging, stopping, etc, while you watch me from your glory.
On the other hand, I am very attached to my intelligence, I am very identified with the game of knowledge and reflection, and I tortured myself for a long time with severe insomnia, partly because of that. I think Emerald said somewhere that she had a similar tendency, for example.

Apparently people should help him and give him food so he doesn't let himself die lol. Sadghuru said somewhere that Maharshi "let worms pierce his skin/try to eat him" or something like that, though I don't know if that's true.

Okay I see, so like the sum of the individuals life story is their karma, which shapes who they are

That’s wild. Yea if he realizes no self a lot of survival agenda goes away
