The human body is not like a battery.

You are designed to exercise.

That is the purpose of your design.

Every organ in your body needs exercise to function normally.

And your designed for a lot of activity.

Because that's what we did for hundreds of millions of years, sedentary people did not reproduce.

Exercise is not an option and the amount you're doing isn't enough.

Forget the fear mongering.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

I could run for an hour in any random Direction and it doesn't even occur to me that I'm exercising.

You guys have no idea what your limits are.

You're going to go your whole life never knowing what your genetic potential is.

If you're not in a flow state when doing deep work you're losing 90% of your potential.

And exercise is necessary to lubricate your system enough to reach Peak flow.

Unless you're young and you can hit these states through great health.

Even then as you get older the more necessary it is.

It's definitely good for you.

When I work for 6 months of the year I burn calories equal to a half marathon or more each day.

Lol we were not "designed to exercise". We just did whatever was needed to survive, if that required chasing down an antilope or a mammoth, then that's what we did. We never did even an ounce more than what was required of us to survive, and at large we used the rest of the time to do nothing and be lazy.

Nowadays we have no real motivators like that (survival based), they're gone completely. Thus all these attempts at promoting exercise always feel rather empty. What does even "potential" mean in this case - that throught enough exercise you can.... do more and better exercise? LOL

YA I would like to see you guys hunt down an antelope! Perfect analogy. Exactly what you were designed for!

You must exercise, if you want health, or better health. The intensity and frequency depends, but point taken.

Good reminder!

Designed to exercise is a stretch. Everyone is different, if you are exercizing you're not contemplating, following your life purpose, doing serious spiritual work. Yes exercise is good, but how much you need to function healthily, that is not obvious at all.

It wouldn't be that hard, it's not like these hunters were superhuman or something, it's all about running in a consistent tempo and fast enough so that an antilope keeps seeing you as a threat so it keeps running, but slow enough to not make it a sprint, it's guaranteed that it's gonna get tired eventually. Most long distance running exercises are harder than that

Then why have all these inteligent geniuses never exercised while it's always meatheads who have low IQ. I'm not buying it.

Strongly recommend jump rope. Only started a few weeks back. Conditioning has improved massively for just 20 mins jumping per day. Feel much lighter on my feet the whole day. Even doing 10 reps gets the heart racing.

I love rock climbing, specifically bouldering. It's like a real life video game with colored rocks. Btw, everyone who climbs is super friendly and chill. Makes for a perfect environment for socializing too. I love rock climbing.

great way to stay stuck in life by comparing it with others and demonize something like exercise

if you deliberately plan to be less than you are capable of being, then i warn you that you'll be deeply unhappy for the rest of your life

Rock climbing is the best, but I think you got to use gloves if you want to do it like everyday, because it just rips through my hand so badly.

I would design my whole house for exercise, all the walls rock climbing, ropes everywhere, parkour elements, ramps, floors are all trampolines, it would be amazing.

The original people who designed houses had no idea what they were doing lmao the old Trend needs to die.

Stuck in what way tho? You guys are just missing my point entirely. You can't even tell me what exactly this imaginary progress really is. LOL but I am the one who's lost here, right. I'm just not the type of guy to just robotically do certain activities without any proper reason behind doing them. But by all means, suit yourselves and go track your "progress" which you can't really even define a worth of LOL

Recently discovered the pool next to me is free to swim! So I’ll be doing a daily swim until planting season I think.
