The world's biggest religion, misunderstood

7 posts in this topic

To make senses of the Bible's weird stories and absurd commandments…use this Word: Conflict. It is a Conflict Resolution manual written 2000 years ago.

Think about it.

Lord's Prayer.

The Gospels (turn the other cheek…give your cloak as well, do not desire the neighbors wife, do not throw your pearls before swines)

The 10 commandments

Proverbs

If You see it through this lense, it Will make more sense. Harmony = The Kingdom.

Specially read the Gospels and remember it is just a Conflict Resolution manual. An extreme one.

Christianity is the religión of Conflict Resolution.

May Peace be with You.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the tendons commandments, why should one desire someone's else's wife?

I had actually a very short encounter with the prophet Mohammed while on San Pedro about that.

I was walking in the park behind my house and saw a woman carrying a baby, and looking at me.

I had a very stern and authoritative voice while on San Pedro telling me not to look at her and I felt it was the prophet Muhammad.

Ever since I know very well that it is against the divine laws to desire another man's wife and it's not even okay to exchange seducable looks when you know she is taken.

The Christian religion is a good religion, it aims at real awakening, rather at an aspect of awakening, a condition of awakening: purity of heart and acceptance of suffering.

Other religions like Buddhism aim at detachment from current experience, to recognize yourself as the infinite being. Both are true, they are two different aspects of reality that are complementary. I would say that one without the other is incomplete.

There is a third very interesting religion: Hinduism of the Bahavad Gita, which describes the opening to the understanding of reality, the forces, the tides of cosmic cycles. All three are the product of enormous human genius, which is divine.

@Breakingthewall, it's also good to describe what religion is based on how it manifests in real life.

Most, and I would bet 99% of religious people wouldn't awaken by simply following a religion.

Even if one person does, without mentioning what they realize, the person will get delusional by then.

Maybe because the main figure is the most understood man ever

Which other prophet had been so mistreated?

That's true, and Christianity also has a limiting part, it is not easy to see through the duality that emerges from its message, although with the right approach it is possible

@Breakingthewall, by right approach, do you mean through reading and prayer?

If so, then I have to disagree with you, because it really depends on the state of the person's consciousness. Maybe it could work for less than 1% of the people. As you know, there are way more powerful tools.
