COVID Killed My Erections

81 posts in this topic

I’m writing this because I feel hopeless. I caught the Delta variant of Covid-19 in October 2021 and nearly died. I was hospitalized for 25 days! I had to call an ambulance because I couldn’t get air into my lungs no matter how hard I tried. I arrived at the emergency room with my face almost purple. After I got out of the hospital, I felt like a zombie—it took me 2 years to regain my sense of smell and 6 months to taste food again.

I’m turning 25 soon, and since October 2021, I can’t have sex anymore. My penis doesn’t work at all. The only way I can get an erection is by masturbating, but as soon as I stop touching it, it goes soft. I tried Cialis 20mg, and it only worked the first time. I gave it 6 more shots, but nothing—no matter what, I couldn’t get it up. Even watching porn doesn’t help, and I was never into it anyway—I barely watched it once a month and rarely masturbated. Before Covid, I had a huge sex drive and could perform amazingly. Now, I can’t get hard, and even if I do, I ejaculate almost instantly—or lose that weak erection before I even get that far.

I’ve been to doctors, and they’re clueless. They all just prescribed Cialis or Viagra and told me to see a psychologist. But I had severe anxiety back in 2019, and my dick worked perfectly then—so it’s not psychological. All my blood tests show I’m perfectly healthy. Testosterone levels are great, my thyroid works fine, and every other hormone is within normal range. I’m also physically active.

I’ve talked about this with Grok AI, and it said there’s a real chance I might never get back to normal. It suggested that Covid could have completely wrecked the endothelium in my blood vessels—especially the small ones—and the nervous system that controls erections.

I should also add that I have a strong desire for sex, but it’s like my dick doesn’t respond to anything anymore. It feels like I don’t even have one in my pants.

I want to have a family! And this issue is preventing me, my GF told me that she no longer can tolerate being sexless for so long. And that she is very seriously contemplating leaving and finding happiness for herself. Which I completely understand, I've told her that if things don't get better I have no right of depriving her of happiness and that she is free to break up with me and find someone else who can make her happy.

Is there any chance for me to heal? And if so, how?

That's a difficult situation man.

Have you tried physical exercise like heavy cardio and weightlifting?

@Leo Gura Yes. I work in construction, there I do a lot of physical activity and 3 or 4 times a week I do workout at home with dumbbells and barbells, also pushups and pull-ups/chin-ups and squats with the barbell on my shoulders. Nothing works. No matter what I tried I haven't seen any improvements since october 2021. Probably COVID permanently destroyed some functions of my body. I remember feeling so bad during the infection that I felt within my body like I had small knifes trying to rip every cell of my body apart.

You should try a dopamine detox to reset your body and mind.

It is very unfortunate with your gf but you have to choose your own health and recovery first.

Being in constant stress and worrying like you do right now is your biggest boner killer. You have to cut out the factors that are killing your boner and add stuff that will help you.

Watching porn is also very bad for your dopamine receptors. I would be careful about your beliefs too. Because if you think you have a dick problem, you will have one. But I think in your case, it might be a mental and physical cause.

@Leo Gura I am so sorry for not listening to you in 2021. I've read every blog post at that time when you got your own vaccine. If I had gone to a vaccination centre in June 2021 when you got your 2nd Pfizer vaccine maybe today I would have been healthy. Back then I was a huge Tate fan, and he always fearmongered about the vaccine. And I told myself that I am young and healthy and because I never got sick or caught colds, plus the fearmongering in the social media I consumed, I decided that even if I caught Covid, It couldn't harm me. It was the worst decision I have ever made.

You see? Poor epistemology and low spiral development doomed me this time. One can get away only so many times before his own lack of development lethally backfires on that individual. I use the word lethally because this time my rotten mind from 2021 could possibly end my bloodline.
I see in my situation Darwinism at full effect. Weeding me out from the gene pool because I allowed my mind to be influenced by a devil like Tate while I had dismissed Leo's recommendation to go get the vaccine. In a way I reap now what I sowed in my mind from 2019 to 2021 by watching Tate.

I never was into porn because I live in a small room with my relatives and I never had the intimacy to watch porn or masturbate. I watched few videos just to test if I get an erection. And I didn't. I only get if I use my hand to stimulate my penis, and as soon as I take my hand off, it goes soft very quickly. I never had this problem before covid. I was very pleased with my sexual performances.

It is possible to heal from the damage caused by Tate, you are not alone:

So where do you have sex with your gf if you don't even have privacy to watch porn? :/

@Daniel Balan It still hasn't been too long. Don't give up hope just yet. Some solutions might come your way. Keep researching the issue and trying things.

Chronic health problems are difficult but require keeping hope.

@Leo Gura I'm so sorry for not listening to you in 2021 about the vaccine. You did your best to inform me about the dangers of catching Covid unimmunized and I still didn't listen. Man I never thought I'd have to pay such a high price for being stupid.

@Daniel Balan Have you tried fasting before, seems like it wouldn't be very helpful but when the digestive system completely shuts down for extended periods of time the body starts to heal it self in miraculous ways. Worth a shot?

Maybe consider starting with a 7 day water fast just to see if that triggers any spontaneous erections. I'm pretty sure I read a while ago that some studies shown lower level's of erectile dysfunction in men that regularly fasted or practised intermittent day fasting.

Could it be that construction job, it might not seem too bad every day but fatigue stacks slowly over months and years unless you get a sufficient resting period.

I also have some minor ED, but it completely disappears when I go on vacation and sleep like a normal human, do cardio, and sun exposure.

Because you work in construction and you're physically active I would also advise you to check your calories, if your calories do not match your activity level it will quickly lead to fatigue which will worsen erections.

Try some supplements like l citrulline and l arginine together, beetroot extract, and maca root.

Beetroot powder is the solution. You’ll be waking up with a boner every morning without fail.

Did they do anything to you in the hospital? Why aren't you able to smell or taste food after having gone out of the hospital? /Healed.

I've read up on this a lot since I run a pretty intense lifestyle that requires long-term thinking and constant maintenance, but I won’t get into that here. Just take this as a starting point for deeper research.

Long COVID wrecks your nerves through inflammation, poor circulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neurotransmitter imbalances. That’s why your ED and PE are acting up.

You’ll want to stay on Cialis (5mg daily), add Baby Aprin and Nattokinase to clear out microclots, and donate blood regularly if your hematocrit is high. That’ll keep your circulation in check.

For retraining your nervous system, you’ve got the usual suspects - breathwork, cold exposure, red light therapy - but you’ll also want TENS on the Posterior Tibial Nerve (TPTNS) and the Dorsal Penile Nerve to reset autonomic function. TPTNS (inner ankle) connects to the sacral nerve plexus, which controls pelvic floor and ejaculation reflexes, while the Dorsal Penile Nerve (base of your dick) directly modulates sensitivity and reflex speed. Get a dual-channel TENS unit, slap the electrodes on your inner ankle and the base of your dick, and run mild stimulation daily.

For brain function and nerve recovery, you’ll want Schmachtenbergers "Qualia Mind" + "Qualia Mitochondria+" (formerly called "Qualia Life"). Asprey’s "Brainstrong" diet is worth looking into as well.

Also, keep the cardio and weight lifting - those are essential too.

Skip low-leverage bullshit like beetroot powder or whatever nonsense people who don’t know what they’re talking about will recommend. You need a nuclear-level fix, and it’s going to be costly if you’re serious about solving this. If you need more guidance, hit me up.

I saw a post from an endocrinologist who explained that he had successfully reversed ED in a patient by giving him small doses of trestolone.
Of course this should be a last resort.

This is not a hormonal issue. And if you do have hormonal issues, just run a basic TRT routine - don’t fuck around with experimental designer steroids.

Even from a practicality standpoint, if you start taking some obscure compound from some mad scientist or wonky doctor, what’s your plan when the guy dies, loses his license, or retires? You need to think long-term with this stuff.

If you're struggling to get an erection, you can try Alprostadil. it's an injectable medication that goes directly into the penis, forcing blood flow into the erectile tissue. It works without needing sexual arousal and leads to a firm erection within minutes.
