Living alone vs living with family.

9 posts in this topic

What are the pros and cons of living alone and living with family? Ehat do you guys think? Do you think personal development comes when you live alone? So I live in India where there are 1.5 billion people. Do you think that you would go out to live in a place like Mumbai? Is it better to stay home with family with very less personal development or go out in the crowd and work and chase never ending rate race?

One pro of leaving the house is you’ll progress spiritually much more than while living with your parents

I lived by renting room in random houses most of my 20s I live with family in teens and as a child. I got my own house and it was the most freeing experience I have ever had. To be alone with yourself is how you heal.

In my experience, growing up my parents emotions dominated my reality. Not necessarily in a bad way but such that it is not possible to truly be yourself completely without being inundated with that karma. The only way to be yourself more is to physically move away.

There are pros and cons though, primarily the added cost of moving out which will mean that you will have to work and change your lifestyle most likely. Moving out is about seizing opportunities for personal growth and prosperity so determine what your goals are.

Living at home only makes sense if you have financial or other problems and need some time to fix them.

God has always been in front of you, yet you are too blind to see Him.

I have @LifeEnjoyer @Hojo @Basman @aasiyah @Unlimited I have Vipassana retreat coming up from 19th march till 30th March. It is amazing that they offer Vipassana retreat for free in my area. I am leaving after 30th, maybe on 1st April. My family weren’t giving me a single penny but I think they have agreed to give $300 which is ₹18,000 INR. My family wanted a written note that I will not come back. So I wrote that I will not come back until I will be on my feet. I will come to just see you after how long I don’t know but this is my plan.

I grew and matured a lot by living alone and detaching from toxic actions and energy coming from my family.

But also every time I go back home I have new challenges that when I'm alone I don't have anymore.
