Yes but that doesn't contradict anything being said.  God is manifesting all of reality.  Whether it needs anything sourcing it is irrelevant.

It could be one of two things maybe. My mind is silent so I’m not thinking or imagining anything so no visual is manifesting… or it’s straight source. 
I’ve experimented with the first scenario on mushrooms and indeed no thought = no trip. It was almost like I got kicked out of it. 
 

the later scenario is bizarre like trying to describe an intricate understanding of a mental process without any form to describe. The way people go on about ‘downloads’ is kind of like a flood of realisations.

i only really get meaningful journeys when my logical faculties are still functioning. The best and most hyper realistic have been out of body experiences during my night practice. 
I had a golden white light with that beautiful echo breath when I became aware one night while in Amsterdam. I was the only one on the holiday who stayed away from the cookies 🤣😅 but it had 5MeO vibes from the start❤️🙏

This is what I'm talking about. Enlightened members who can talk about "it" vs non enlightened members who can't.  

It seems to me the form identity is asuming some form of victory here, and i believe this is a big trap. Spiritual elitism, spiritual ego, etc. Comes down to this, are you the form identity, the member who had a special breakthrough, or are you consciousness,  the thing you keep mentioning you have grasped yourself to be during your trips. 

How come you can't know yourself without taking a drug is my question here.

Do you have to make identity around psychedelics to be enlightened and to have a deep conversation on the nature of reality?

When you start out on the spiritual path, yes you create a duality between the false self and the true self. The false self has a breakthrough into its true nature and there seems to be another Duality created between the enlightened self and the unenlightened self. This is normal but it does not mean your spiritual quest is complete. As Leo and many others have mentioned you have to bring the form back into the formless. Being enlightened is realizing no self, but you are right that the ego will grandize itself with its breakthroughs but don't get stuck demonizing the ego, go further. Self knowledge is impossible, you can only be more conscious of yourself and psychedelics along with other methods are more or less effective in raising ones consciousness. The question can you do it without drugs is silly because the entire brain is made out of drugs, all those neurotransmitters are basically drugs. Drugs is a term invented by the government to keep people from having intelligent conversations about substance use, abuse and addiction. 

You don't have to make an identity out of psychedelics, they can be used as an instrument or you can get sucked into an identity like anything else. It's not the psychedelic, it's the person himself.
