@zazen That's why Russia has been waging information warfare since the time Putin came to power, and even before that during the times of the Soviet Union. And it's been fairly effective so far - they contributed towards Trump getting the presidency both times weakening the unity of the west, and also radicalised many people towards far right

Watching the whole interview put alp into perspective. Vance lashed out in the moment Z said that Putin broke the cease fire even during Trump Years. That was the trigger to Vance come up and bullie up. Before that the talk was all Trump Pose as a diplomat.

Is all about keeping  image to the great public. Trump cant lose faith from the ones who idolise him. No one dares to say the devil is not the savior and the perfection embofied. He have a image to keep intact. Otherwise his strong man facade falls.

a) War stops, Ukraine gives occupied territories to Russia, hopes to not get invaded again (with security guarantees from EU)

b) Innocent young people continue dying on both sides (hoping that somehow Ukraine gains back all territories?)

The Russian economy is in the toilet. If the pressure is kept up and the Russian society collapses, Russia could fold their hand.

And it´s also principle. If we let Russia have it their way, they will just keep on going. The same with China, if they see a weak US, they could invade Taiwan.

So Trump also greatly dislikes (Just like Putin does) people like Zelensky, Trudeau, "the west".

It's pretty straight forward what is going on once you see it that way.

Trump does not favor Putin, and he's not his puppet lol, that is the most dumb theory out there, why would he allow himself to be his puppet, he's the President of the most powerful country in the world, and independently weatlhy, he's the least likely to be anyone's puppet imo...

Trump is for Trump, and America, and from what I understand Ukraine and Zelensky are no saints either, its complex, I think if Zelenski let US in to mine for minerals that would be the security guarantee, Trump won't allow Russia to attack anything near where the Americans are, its that simple, Ukraine wins, America Wins, War Stops, more negotiations maybe happen...I'm no expert on this war I will say that, but that is what it appears to be...

You're not looking at it closely enough and just listening to his "words". 

Trump did not want to give Zelensky security guarantees, that much is clear because he never brings it up, other than as a "carrot to string him along".

Trump never openly criticizes Putin, instead berates Zelensky for doing it. 

Trump's Administration vetoed the UN resolution that condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

You are really misreading what is going on, like the rest of Maga who are just getting played by Trump's game.

He said if You (Zelenski) continue to berate Putin, Putin will not come to the table for negotiations, that makes sense to me, so do You want to stop the fighting now with a cease fire and then negotiate or continue to ask for more money and fight and things stay the same??

Yes for sure Zelenski has a right to not trust and hate Putin, I don't blame him, all of Ukraine hates him, most of the world hates or is disgusted with Putin, I am disgusted with him, but things have to be done differently otherwise things will stay the same and the money train can't go on forever, I think as a Canadian our government and country have done enough!

Putin broke countless (25 I guess) ceasefire agreements. How can the world trust the next one exactly?

This is not like this is the "FIRST TIME" a ceasefire negotiation is signed.

I don't know all the facts that lead up to the war, only that Putin didn't want NATO getting any closer to Russian territory and Ukraine may have the chance to join NATO, and it was promised to Russia after 2014 or so that NATO would not go further East or something along those lines.. Again I'm no expert on these issues, and its complex...

What to do? Keep on Keeping On as things are going and Zelenski pleading for help everyday and nothing changes??

The EU alliance is now stepping up since the US is a shaky partnership. They have to strengthen their military now. And as well their will seems to be on Ukraine's side to continue fighting while trying to reach a peace deal.

Zelensky is severely tainted by Putin.  You could see it.  He doesn't trust Putin anymore.   And you have to realize even if US were to bend over. backwards and offer all the guarantees Zelensky wants, Putin still has to agree to them.  There's two sides to this.  And while he has the upper hand he is going to be less willing to give Zelensky all that he wants.  Its unfortunate for Zelensky.  But it's a reality.  Trump reminded him that he's in no position to be dictating his demands to Putin.   He needs to take what is offered.  If anything.  Again Putin has to agree.  The US wanted to see more humility.   Now..I have not seen the US leaders show humility either.   So it's like calling the kettle black.

I mean I wasn't "there", and just reading about what's gone on with Putin I can't trust him either, he's a psychopathic liar and serial killer to me, that should properly belong to a jail cell if the world was run right. Biden didn't try and force him all he did was send loads of money and aid to Ukraine.
