And even putting the focus on the punishment of criminality OVER AND ABOVE creating a safe and harmonious society just takes the focus off of the purpose of justice in the first place.

And it's basically looking at the symptoms as the cause disharmony... and trying to seek vengeance on a symptom rather than to address the root cause.

In its best form, prison is a revenge-less exile station that sequesters away people who are a danger to society... which are the natural consequences of those behaviors.

And I believe in approaching this in a matter-of-fact pragmatic way that's about creating a safe society... rather than getting all the emotionality of revenge and punishment involved with it.

And death should never be seen as a punishment or exile... unless there are no other solutions. As I mentioned before, it creates negative punitive associations with death itself when death is actually empty of the quality punishment.

We can't always pervent the harming of individuals.  Sometimes we need to do this for justice.  Not for revenge.  For justice.  The highest expression is not black and white.

To me it's not revenged focused.   If a man beats a woman or abuses that woman, they should be punished.  If the man kills the woman, they should be equally punished.  This isn't revenge, this is justice, again, for the families.  It is not revenge for the families.  Revenge would be one of the family members going outside the law and finding the killler before the law could be properly enforced.  Revenge and vengeance happens when the law fails.

I’m not seeing how private healthcare industries create value. People have been robbed through years of lobbying the government and most of the wealth is being thrown away in the garbage.

We would’ve cured cancer a long time ago instead we have people with no clue in charge of everything.

The only reason AI has been created is because it’s strongly aligned with profits. Everything else is in the dark ages.

Have you seen them make any progress in psychology, healthcare, mathematics, physics, nutrition science…? of course not because in that industry science does not align with profits so therefore no progress.

When a subject does not align with profits it stagnates in this environment.

The CEO that Luigi killed didn’t once think maybe we should hire 1000 of the best engineers in the world and actually cure any of these diseases. Let’s take the smartest people on the planet and truly make progress.

Instead, his only thought is, how do I maximize and squeeze profits.

We need leaders and innovators not CEOs.

This is why Elon is so underrated despite his flaws.

Elon is done after this.  He's corrupt and he will be exposed as a corrupt billionaire businessman that is decimated by the ego and by society.  Hes done when it comes to politics once this joke of a Trump era is over.  Trump will be dead and he will be disgraced.

No one will listen.   Hes quickly taking on the Trump persona.  Yeah - i get that he wanted to side behind Trump.  That's because of the populist vote.  But the problem is that of respect.  This email thing really makes him out to be a joke.   And it's only going to get worse.  Yeah - he'll be Trump's puppet for a little while - but that's what he allowed himself to be and that's going to be his identity.  When Trump is gone he'll fade back into the winds of Tesla and X.

There's a clear lack of "moral leadership" in the US. This is problematic yes. There's not a quick solution to this other than individuals each stepping up more than they may normally do.

Something to consider is that when you deny me the death penalty,

you subject me to a life sentence of misery despair bitterness and resentment for those of mine who were murdered.

You keep him alive and instead render me dead.

Life is being snuffed out in either case.

Unintended consequences do not equate to plausible deniability.

Widen your world view.

Anyone that wrecks their car into someone else should be put to death too, we can't be out here living a life of misery needing to worry about reckless people.

Assailants should be beaten to the brink of death, rapists should be raped, thieves should never be able to own anything.

This would turn out well.

i hear you.  I think most can be saved and rehabilitated.   Just presented an alternative POV to the always higher exalted POV that's portrayed here.
