Achieving direct experience of Solipsism

13 posts in this topic

For me, Solipsism has been the best way to realize God or the Dream-like nature of life.

I've had two experiences of Solipsism.

Once I was repeating mentally I am the One, the Only Mind there is, There is No other, while walking on a crowded supermarket and I got the realization that I was on a dream. All others were simply characters. I was literally consciouss this was nothing but a dream.

Another day, I was repeating Im the Only Mind, Other Minds Dont Exist. And I, I saw myself walking through the woods. I was God, the ONLY MIND in existence. Deeply intelligent, I had designed all life. It was a happy moment. All was my dream.

Please share which methods have worked for you to achieve a direct experience of solipsism.

Yes, not solipsistic though.

And what worked for me was the following exercise:

Quote

Walk through a crowded place with strangers, observe others and repeat the mantra: I am the Only Mind There is. There Is No other Mind.

A crowded place with strangers helps because their minds are unknown. Somehow it has worked for me, but not always.

@Santiago Ram I had almost a solipsistic experience on LSD but I didn't know that concept back then so all I was feeling was very isolating and lonely.

Besides that I had no real solipsistic awakening.

Meditation - do nothing meditation - concentration meditation and self inquiry.   I would not specifically aim to become directly conscious of Oneness or Absolute Solpsism.  I would start by looking inward to first discover what you are.  Because first you to have to realize what the self is before the duality of self vs other can collapse.  No self was the first awakening i had and led to many others that followed..with the final one being that I was Alone as God and that other was held within the Mind of God.  Part of that realization is that the entire Universe is all yours as God.  But this a more advanced realization that typically will come after the realization of no self.  This is the icing on top of the cake of enlightenment.   But just begin by meditating and using the various practices to turn Awareness inward.  The Truth of Other must be discovered by discovering the Truth of Self and that is foud by looking inward  and self inquiring.  Let go of all beliefs and just inquire with an open mind.  But pad that with a lot of concentration meditation and do nothing meditation to raise your concisousness dial.  If you do both in tandem your consciousness will be elevated enough to where a mystical experience can occur.

@Inliytened1 I've had direct experiences of No self, God and Heaven.

But Solipsism has been the one most profound to direcly see All as a Dream.

What was the no self realization like? Because to me that is enlightenment but there is more to realize. Were they completely spontaneous or did they follow meditation or psychedelics? If totally spontaneous then you're probably very spiritually gifted.  I only meditated like two weeks prior to my awakening.   So if you are looking for what i call the final realization and had all of your realizations and enlightenment spontaneously then maybe try some spiritual tools.  But again don't go into it with any expectations.   The ego will work as a blocker if you do that.

Sorry I missed that you had this profound awakening.  Yes that's why i call it the final realization.   But for me i just called it Oneness as you realize that all other is your own mind.  The dream realization was a separate one.  You could realize reality is a dream but yet still hold the notion that other beings have their own independent Concisousness. .

@Inliytened1 Yes, I experienced no self, God and the Kingdom of Heaven without psychedelics, while being at and working as Staff on a Spiritual NA drug rehab center.

I will DM you, for you seem conscious.

But that is apart from the question: what are practical methods to achieve solipsism (apart from what has been already said)?

Meditation, do nothing, concentration, Self inquiry and mantras in crowded places, thus far...

Rule of thumb: whatever exists in your present state of Consciousness-recognize it as the entire Universe and beyond….to Infinity.

@Santiago Ram I think mantras alone are not enough. You had probably a good amount of spiritual work before which let you to this.

How long did you repeat the mantra in your head and were it in normal speed? Where was your focus on. You worked beside that?

@OBEler I repeated the mantra in normal speed. My attention was in my field of vision and the movement of what I saw (specially other people). And besides that, yes, my whole life for the past 5 years has been dedicated to spirituality with many ups and downs, but this technique might help others.
