Political narcissism.

How fitting for narcissists.

The core problem with democracy is that it means the biggest egos cannot dominate the field. Of course the biggest egos do not like such a system and feel the need to burn it down. Democracy is the system our ancestors invented to curb massive narcissists. But today narcissism is in vogue. People have forgotten what it's like to be ruled by a corrupt massive narcissist. It's not as cool as it sounds. Never was.

No the core problem is self-deception.   Narcissists and corrupt individuals were literally handed the power by the people.  You see the problem is you can have all the democracy in the world but if the people are deceived then it really flips democracy on its head.

Dont your realised yet that they used the Democracy to play their game. For a Crocodile Democracy is just a weakness or weak point. The Crocodile  alling with the system that where gazelles goes to vote to choose if they wish to be eaten by him or not. The Crocodile say he will not, he say that will give them pasture and even Destroy other Crocodiles (Russia..etc..) if they win. But then when they are in power they Eat the Gazelles or sell tickets for other Crocodiles who with to be part of the feast. 

You dont gamble with a Crocodile. So as Leo said. This happened because of to much Laxx. For me this shit is being strategized for years, slowly with no Rush. A very Russian way of doing things. Plus Hybrid Warfare and God Knows at more shady stuff we will know only in the future. If we came to know

Who used democracy to play their game?  And what was the game?  You can't blame the government completely - it is also the people..but not just the people gaining power it's the people themselves that are allowing themselves to be fooled.  In other words don't put all the blame on the oligarchs.  The people have to take responsibility.   And they're not all stupid.   They're just blind.

Democracy is not a independent system forced to people. Democracy in its core requires 100% informed people with critical thinking ability. Otherwise there isn't democracy but a system that looks like democracy which serves those who can control information and deceive people.

There are always narcissists, the issue imo is more about how people respond to complexity. Complexity of our societies has annoying costs and makes it difficult to change course fast, which has a tendency to cause decline.
 

People find it tempting to believe some Caesarist figure can come in and clean it up with simple solutions. Although Caesarism tends to actually accelerate the decline.

The Tyrany of paying a Bully to protect you from bullies and then you end up being slave of the Bully you pay or elected. I know well this. When young I became friend of bullies thinking that that would save me from being bullied but one day I was being kicked in the ass by my very Bullie friends. Lesson learned.
