Toothpaste with flouride or without?

The effectiveness from these toothbrushes is nigh and day, leaving your teeth squeaky clean (literally).

I've actually been using a sonic toothbrush for a couple of years and have recently switched to a regular bamboo toothbrush, and i don't see/feel much difference.

If you eat nutritious real whole foods you don’t even need to brush your teeth.

Haven’t brushed my teeth for 2 years. (Only a couple times a month I use some coconut oil on my teeth)

All I eat is ground beef, butter, eggs, raw milk, organs, fruit, raw honey, white rice, sweet potatoes and some veggies.

Scientific research and dentists around the world suggests otherwise.

But if that works for you then don’t worry… There can be variation between people. So many factors like diet, each mouth environments produces cavities, plaque and tartar differently, etc… hence they might need better or lesser tools depending on the job.

You will feel no difference.

Because I’m still using (albeit less)fluoride?

Or because it’s imperceptible regardless of what I use?

This sounds like a tv add for a toothpaste, lol.

@Something Funny It’s like saying “nah man I’m good using screwdriver when you have a power drill. Haha this guy just wants to take my money, I’m going to keep it simple.”

You do you bro.

@PenguinPablo No, I meant literally, this is what every tv add for a toothbrush or paste would say when I was a kid. At least in my country. I just find it funny.

I have been avoiding fluoride for years now. I actually used to get cavities and have not since I switched to Boka toothpaste.

I have mentioned it before. It has become extremely popular in recent years. It has hydroxyapatite in it— the true component of teeth— not fluoride, a man-made replacement.

I also use Hello’s charcoal toothpaste. It will be like what Leo suggests. (Boka sells a Charcoal-Hydroxyapatite toothpaste now too, if you want the full shabang).

I’d also recommend a water flosser, especially for braces or permanent retainers. Tongue scraper too maybe.

Edit: I have no affiliation with either of these brands— however I strongly recommend them. I have become baffled at ever using Crest, Oral B, etc.

Yes - these toothpastes are just as safe as the fluoride ones— safer, actually.

Boka has grown immensely, with around 40,000 reviews on that toothpaste, on Amazon.

Hello has been sold in Walmart for years.

They're good.

What’s wrong with using normal toothpaste? I use Colgate and have no complaints.

I use toothpaste not having flouride, but is there any scientific study on fluoride being bad, if someone ask me why?

@Harikrishnan Science says...

Yes in large amount it is proven to be harmful for humans.

However, the amount you would get from toothpaste is considered safe.

...

also:

The meta-analysis found a “statistically significant association” between higher fluoride exposure and lower children’s IQ scores, according to Taylor.

“[It showed] that the more fluoride a child is exposed to, the more likely that child’s IQ will be lower than if they were not exposed,” she said.

I’m not buying it. Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay and cavities. I could be wrong. But I think the Mainstream is right on this one.

No one is disputing that. The issue is whether the cost of contaminating your body with fluoride is worth it.

I tried that and had very bad teeth after a short while.

Would you mind expanding on that? I am curious about the ingredients you used, and how quickly your teeth got bad, and in what way.

You can repair your enamel with Hydroxyaptit toothpaste instead.

Cavities can also heal itself. Use clove oil on your Hydroxyaptit paste.

Xylotol gums are also great for cavities and to stimulate saliva that also is key for repairing the decay.

I dont know the exact recipe anymore, I mixed a power which contained natron and activated carbon and I maybe two other ingredients. Was said that this would work well. When I had my yearly teeth checkup they said my teeth were in a bad state, they weren't clean and were weak.
