The truth is, the vast majority (to which I belong) can't actually draw strength from anything. I've tried every mindset change imaginable and I just slip into indifference no matter how strong the temporary emotions carry me.

Am I the only one who finds it incredibly bizarre how the mind works? Even if you take into account factors like unhealthy modern day diets...

Hamza describes hard work as "trudging through the snow" AKA making your way through all the piles upon piles of negative and unproductive thoughts and painful emotions. But why? Why this much filth to go through? Imagine you are trying to hunt a mammoth and your mind just makes you go through so much mud that you may as well be paralyzed. And not just that, that's not the end of it, in fact the complete nauseating despair began when you woke up. With absolute 24/7 indifference to boot.

Truly fascinating that evolutionary mechanisms made us this way.

You need to find real heartfelt meaning in your sufferings.

Miss-typed. It means "While sometimes I feel strong emotions, I ultimately slip into indifference over and over again.

Indifference is good too sometimes you need to be indifferent.

As you grow older you realize that being forced to act indifferent and lazy is an incredibly strong force in you, although it can be fought. If your mind is clear and you do shadow-work you can get to the point where you, maybe even easily, persevere through the emotions no matter what they are.

You just can't be indifferent in the sense that you're not doing anything because you're not motivated enough.

For motivation you need fear or passion.

Fear of not achieving something or passion of doing something.

That's where motivation lies for anything.

And sometimes you don't feel like doing anything that's a phase too.

A season or chapter of your life that has to be lived.

It will also end.

You'll rise up again.

Stronger than ever before.
