I have mixed feelings on trump winning.

On one hand his antics are turning US allies away from us and risking our economy which could hurt me as a citizen, on the other I’m glad US hegemony gets weakened because it could make it less damaging in the future as its positioning to try and take on China. If the US neocons and deep state managed to do to Asia what it did to Latin America and the Middle East we are screwed.

On one hand he’s said insane things about the Middle East and filled positions with war hawks which could lead to disaster. On the other hand he did force a ceasefire in Palestine, is pushing for one in Ukraine, and has hired some less hawkish people to prominent positions and signaled wanting to avoid a major war.

I also think this could lead to democrats  waking up and rebelling against the ineffective establishment of their party in the future.

To be fair, I did see recently where his poll numbers looked good for him. But I feel like polls have been deceiving in recent years, and presidents tend to have more favorable poll numbers when they first take office in the first couple of months.

Aww, I appreciate you being fair haha. That was a wholesome moment. But see, these facts can't be trusted even if the source is not trustworthy. And how is one to determine the trustworthiness of a source? I don't have an answer to that. But I'm okay when people arrive at their own conclusions of what they believe are trustworthy information and what is not without trying to push on them that MY conclusion is the best. And everyone with a different view is monster.

This seems sort of oddly reasoned though. You would prefer to live in a world with a strong China? They aren’t exactly a bastion of human rights nor are any of their decision making aligned with your economic wellbeing. A weaker US means a more fragile and economically unstable life for yourself. This power going to China does not mean a more peaceful world. If anything ensuring an emboldened and strengthened China starting a war to take back Taiwan. Do you understand that a stronger China actually means more likelihood of war there? China wants to expand. Read their doctrine. If anything we should be keeping USA strong and working to bring about fair values and harmony form a place a strength. Not giving away power to despots who will do what the US does and even more to strengthen their states at the expense of everyone else. The thing is the USA is being overtaken by a despot and is starting to have wet dreams about expanding itself, get ready for USA / China / Russia to eat their neighbors, Russia has already started. We are headed towards a bi polar world where two powers have expanded up against each other and are in a Cold War.

I actually don't know what left stands for so maybe I made a mistake while making the second statement. I had the impression they brag themselves for acceptence and tolerance of different groups. If I'm wrong about that, then I take it back.

I would argue it was a truthful observation rather than a judgment. If my comment came out of some sort of spite, than I apologize but I still believe the observation was correct.
