I voted for Trump in 2024, I regret it.

I need to confess something. I voted for Trump in 2024 because I was angry about inflation and gas prices. I thought maybe having a "businessman" back would fix things. I've never been more wrong.

I can barely focus at work anymore. Every time I get a news notification, I spend the next hour doom scrolling instead of doing my job. My productivity has tanked because I'm constantly distracted by what's happening to our country and how Elon is dismantling our economy. Last week my boss had to talk to me about my performance.

But what's really killing me is the spiritual weight of it all.  I can literally feel this dark energy hanging over me since the election. My usual meditation practice feels hollow now and it’s  like the universe is judging me for what I've done. I tried sage cleansing my house but I still feel this constant heaviness in my chest.

I know this probably sounds dramatic, but Im being 100% serious and needed to open up to talk and honestly feel like my soul needs healing or something. The guilt is affecting my health and I've lost weight, can't sleep, and my doctor just prescribed anxiety meds. Every time I see my neighbors, I feel this wave of negative energy thinking about how my vote is affecting people like them.

Many people are arguing "America voted for this". I doubt you voted for what's happening. Learn from your mistakes and be more informed next time.

Don't blame yourself for what Trump is doing. You voted with another expectation, probably based on his words, but now it's time he proves himself for the things he promised and things he does, not you. Observe and learn, that's what you can do about it. Don't be hard about it, it was just one vote. Consider that making mistakes or misjudgments is part of the process too, personally, and collectively.

I wish all Trump voters could feel this and realize how badly they fucked up. This is Karma in its finest form. 
 

I appreciate your honesty, and you can’t undo what you did. What you can do is make change moving forward even in small ways like sharing your story and regret. 
 

Don’t wallow in doom scrolling. But yeah, you guys kinda asked for this and now it’s happening full force.

Well I would disagree. I think the people who voted for him are getting exactly what they asked for. It’s quite obvious he’s low integrity, a liar, xenophobic and power hungry. What baffles me is that people are surprised by the crazy shit he’s doing. America deserves this whiplash imo

When someone gets scammed or manipulated they are victims! They may lack wisdom but you must direct your anger towards the people that are preying on the uneducated and not on the uneducated themselves. They are responsible to a degree but they are also desperate. Most Trump supporters have no idea what the hell is going on right now.

If you going to vote on vibes and not policy then at least vote relatively progressive by default (democrats). Conservatives are generally less competent politically and more corrupt, which you'll get a yummy taste of now.

Let this be lesson. But don't beat yourself up over it. Consider that many of the Americans who will suffer from Trump's policy would vote for him given another go with no self-awareness.

Sorry OP, but quite frankly you don't deserve any empathy from anyone on here for that. 

What you did wasn't just a big mistake. You made a truly abominable and truly stupid choice.

I applaud you not only for being openly honest about that but also for realizing that what did was such a grave mistake.

However, this is something that you are going to have to live with for probably the rest of your life.

Elections have consequences. Voting has consequences. Selfishness has consequences. 

The next step for you is to now take a serious hard look in the mirror and start to question a number of things in your mind:

1. "Why did I really believe that such an absolute monster who already ruined our country before as a failed president was better to have as POTUS than someone like Kamala Harris was who was eminently qualified to be president, much more in her prime, and had serious economic plans for improving people's lives? 

2. "Why didn't I do serious research on all of the great things Biden, Harris, and the Democrats accomplished and how well they genuinely governed during the Biden presidency instead of listening to the lies and brain rotting misinformation from right-wing media sources like Fox News or the Daily Wire or Alex Jones?"

3. "Why didn't I before think to myself 'What would some other great president in modern US History like FDR or Obama say or do?"

4. "Why didn't I believe in the real facts put out by real news sources such as NYT and MSNBC.

5. "Why didn't I listen to left-wing media outlets such as Pod Save America, BTC, Democracy Docket, Politics Girl, Majority Report, and Allan Lichtman"?

6. "Why didn't I listen to top independent economists like Paul Krugman or Mark Zandi about how the economy works, real economic policies, and what a president and his/her administration are able to do to manage the economy?"

The political dynamics happening right now are rooted in very deep collective emotional and psychological dynamics.

This has all grown out of collective traumas and the subsequent disconnection with the Earth, other people, and the universe at large.

So, it is not a surprise that these feelings might be creeping in... as they've been rising in the collective consciousness for nearly a decade.

And now it's just the dawning of this awareness for you... a little late to avert a Trump presidency though.

And you're now feeling that dark heavy feeling that many of us have been feeling since 2015. But because you did not become aware of it before, it may feel new and have guilt associated with it because of the actions you took before this awareness bloomed for you.

You may have thought it to be no big deal and that you wouldn't be impacted by it.

Really Trump and all the people around him and the entire dynamic going on is laying bare a collective Shadow that more and more people are waking up to.

And I believe that this dynamic couldn't be helped because it's just that time. It will be a bitter medicine.

My recommendation is to tune very deeply into those feelings that you're feeling right now, because it is not just your feeling.

Weird, I've never been happier as a Trump supporter. I'm on cloud 9. Half the population feels the same way I observe. I had a feeling people are even slowly converting to trump's side even. It's nice to appreciate how differently people see the world.

Just like how most Americans who voted for Bush deeply regretted voting for him. Even most Republicans and conservatives to this day have said "You know, looking back I think that Bush was a total disaster. He was a bad leader who didn't have a clue about how to run the economy and his handling of military/foreign affairs, especially with the wars in the Middle East, in the end were a terrible mistake. I can't believe I was a Bush supporter."

I first identify the people that I feel are sincere, qualified to comment and are agents of the light. Then I listen to their analysis of the situation and that's about it. It's always very positive pro trump and anti kamala analysis. Vivek Ramaswamy is one example, his glory is blinding me. He's a reincarnation of some Indian sage 100%. Like that I came to the conclusion that what's happening right now is indeed a golden age for humanity.

I wouldn't care if I'm wrong. I would just accept it. Big deal. Learn and grow. However, I'm feeling really good right now, ngl.
