When I'm on my death bed

19 posts in this topic

I won't have any regrets.

Because the truth is that I am doing what I can do best.

I'm working a job.

I can't do anything better, life coaching is impossible for me to do and I'm not even good in sales or marketing so just doing a 9 to 5 is the best thing I can do.

I'm lucky to even have this job that's paying me decent enough for being not so good at what I do!

If I visualize my self iny death bed there is nothing better i could have done..

I couldn't get super rich, couldn't make a difference in the world!

I'm lucky that I even graduated from engineering college 9 years ago !

Copium.

You're greater than you think. See it as a chance to shine brighter than you could've ever imagined (if you dare).

"Will I regret my life?" is the wrong question. Rather ask yourself: "What would it feel like to be free of all self-imposed limits?"

It’s both. You’re doing the best you can so just enjoy the ride. At the same time, you can always try to do better.

Key is knowing when to use which perspective at the right time. If you’re doing your best and are exhausted, then telling yourself you can do better ain’t going to help. Likewise, you will fall into complacency if you lounge around too much and settle.

i think a legendary death would be cool, like giving a speech and being so overtaken by emotion that your heart gives way, that would be beautiful

@vibv thanks for pointing out about the low quality question I'm asking myself.

@Aaron p yes it would be cool.

But not everyone has the calibre to have a legendary death.

@Elton it’s great that you accept yourself

But truthfully the sky is the limit imo ❤️

But it is your choice what you want out of life mate and what you want to aim towards 🙂.

@Elton Good post,,, I have similar views.

I'm an introvert. A terrible speaker and don't care. It's not important for me to be a good public Speaker or a gregarious life of the party or an ambitious entrepreneur. I'm happily not married, and chances are, I'll probably stay that way. I don't hardly read anymore but I used to read books all the time. Science, metaphysical, biographies. I'll probably enter another phase of life where I begin reading again. My diet is horrible, and I waste a lot of time repurposing and building gadgets out of scrap piles.

There are so many potential lines of development to work on. A variety of human potentials to actualize, I long ago quit trying to be everything to everybody and having such high aims that it just sets one up for an overabundance of self-criticism. I don't rule out putting out super efforts from time to time though, to counter those lazy self-deceptive tendencies. I'went into an early semi-retirement when I turned 50. I'm now 57,,, I think. I have an aim that, when death arrives, I want to be ready for it. Maybe even anticipating it with a bit of heathy curiosity. I haven't achieved lucid dreaming very many times but hope I can at some point. My hunch is,,, it would give some knowledge that would help when the time comes when I find myself without a body. The practice of ruthless self-observation and inquiry has been with me for the last 25 years. Fourth Way stuff,,,,

I've rattled on enough. Everyone have a good morning and try to genuinely wish people well. Even if you don't like them.

Mean people suck. Lightheartedness provides a good Armour.

Average mindset produces average life. Nothing wrong with that. It’s easy to say “the sky is the limit” “don’t limit yourself” but one requires radical shift in mindset and work ethic to make that shift into someone who could do better. From the framework you have now, yes it’s the best you could do. Self acceptance can be very healing, far from everyone is destined for greatness and that is okay. If you’re pleased with your situation then nothing wrong with staying there, if not, a fundamental change needs to happen

There's nothing wrong with not wanting more. There's nothing wrong with wanting more. There is something wrong with leading an unhappy or unfulfilled life. There is something wrong with looking for ways to be unhappy. But there's nothing wrong with not knowing how to change yourself.
