The Supremacy of Feeling

A crude realization that humbles me everytime is the supremacy of Feeling over the rest of human functions that make life worthwhile. 

It doesn't matter if you are a billionary or you have the perfect spouse or all the free time in the world, whatever, you name it. If you are sick for example and feel miserable, life is an horror. That's it, full stop.

I'm currently sick and everytime I am, it humbles me because I have built this amazing life but all is gone in an instant, surely it's temporary, but one would hope for an eternal abode of safety and peace but the truth is we are very contingent to how we feel and to our health. So always keep this lesson in mind, happines and human life is as fragile as a delicate bubble flying in a tornado.

That’s why I wrote the two most precious things is good mental and physical health (although mental health is for most people dependent on certain circumstances so it can’t be singled out like that)

Note that in the evolution of living things, feeling was the first sense to evolve. Feeling is more primordial than vision, smell, hearing, taste. Cellular organisms can feel before than can see. In fact, all the other sense organs evolved out of feeling receptors. Your eyes literally "feel" photons. Your tongue "feels" food molecules.

That shows you how fundamental feeling is to survival. And why emotions override rationality and logic.

If you felt bad enough you would not be able to do anything: walk, talk, smile, eat, make money, socialize, and even think.

At some point you will feel so bad that your only option will be death.

Feel as in physical sensation or emotion? So cellular organisms have emotions? What?

I didn't say they have emotions. But emotions are just a more advanced form of feeling.

Disease is the key to an energy equation.

From the smallest wrinkle to generalized cancer through mental illnesses.

Joe Dispenza manages to reverse phenomena that are supposed to be irreversible (brain damage following a stroke, terminal cancer, disability...) by making his patients change their sense of self; There are tons of positive testimonials in his youtube channel.

@Leo Gura This reminds me of what Cleve Backster refers to as “Primary Perception”: a fundamental feeling that every living thing has. You can even measure it with electrodes.

Feelings are more primitive. Emotions are feelings + conceptual content like thoughts and images.

If I stab you in the foot with a fork, that's a feeling. If you hate me for it, that's an emotion.

E-motions are just energy in motion that we can sense and give interpretation to. That life is unbearable is just an interpretation of the energy that is flowing through you.

@Davino What you can do is feel through or accept both negative and positive emotions. This is the key even though it's easy to say and hard to do.

It's a strong kid's virus that I got from Disneyland Paris. A cold rainy day and lots of kids sneezing in a foreign country. Yep, it's something my immune system was not prepared for.

Not even thoughts can overpower feeling. I don't let my mind go to negative thought spirals too much even in bad feeling states but a positive mind doesn't make it much better, it just makes it not worse.

This is the harsh truth and somehow unless you feel really bad, it's taken for granted.

This is the kind of fantasy that I wanted you to be prevented from. I've been there, then you fall sick and you get a reality-check

I also had a bad cold the last time I was in northern Europe eheh.

Probably the bacterial/viral strains differ depending on the country.
