Leo, Why you claim that High States Are not Good?

16 posts in this topic

Why do you say,  that high Mystical states of Consciousness, are not good for everyday ordinary life?

What about Jesus, Rumi, Gandhi, Ramana Maharshi, Eckhart Tolle?

These people lived life to the fullest, one might say.

Hi @SQAAD

I know you want Leo’s answer, but here’s my view.

Mystical states can bring deep wisdom, but they don’t always fit into everyday life. The world is mostly focused on material things and often rejects those who see beyond that.

Jesus was tortured and crucified.
Ramana Maharshi was so detached that ants ate his flesh. If people hadn’t helped, he might have died.
Many mystics today would be put in a mental hospital if they spoke openly about their realizations.

Society values practical things more than deep spiritual wisdom. That’s why these states, while powerful, often don’t mix well with what we consider normal life.

Self-love is the force behind every decision you make.

Solid answer.

Any state can become a detour if it is taken too seriously. At some point all states will have to be let go of.

Some collect exotic cars while others collect exotic states.  Sure, one is a higher state of consciousness but it's still the ego that is doing the collecting.

What has been the one constant since you first started this, Journey? The dropping of old states.

The only elevated state of consciousness is the constant opening of your heart to reality. It is redundant, since your heart is the reality, and must be open to life, joy, pain, illness and death. anything else are games

Jesus got tortured to death

So, for every day ordinary life? Probably would have been best for him to just go get a job in the local supermarket and keep quiet about his realisations.

It takes a special breed to stomach some of the depths of suffering the real spiritual path entails

Ultimately ordinary states are mystical.

To make that distinction is to leave the abolute for the relative.

But relatively speaking, I can't even walk while in high mystical states of consciousness, or speak or work or other practical things like that.

Takes a lot of practice to navigate society and survival while being in such states.

In that case perhaps he would have had bone cancer that would have slowly killed him for 5 years, only to end a year paralyzed in bed suffering horrible pain 24/7, alone and absolutely desperate and bewildered. The cross must be uncomfortable and painful, but there are many other things that are also uncomfortable, the important thing is to follow your destiny

Do you just mean psychedelics? Because yes that could inhibit your motor function . . .

Yeah but it's also ok to have a destiny in a supermarket

Based on my personal experiences, that has just been the case with psychedelics and Breathwork.

But from what I've read and heard about the sages it seems to be the case for deep samadhi states as well, without psychedelics.

@Verg0 Maybe try doing breathwork for an actual amount of time, like multiple hours everyday? And then looking at the lights and feeling the vibrating, go for a walk with your body still vibrating.

If you do an actual amount of real magic everyday it will have permanent actual effects.

In such a high state, you would be so blissed out and perceive everything as perfect.

You could be living under a bridge, homeless, etc… and it would not matter.

Because your happiness is not dependent on external circumstances.

Would be quite hard to function without pressuring yourself, and being dissatisfied to some degree to pursue a “better” life and strive for “improving”
