Luxury Traveling vs Daily Presence

4 posts in this topic

I was recently on some extravagant, exotic holidays with family & friends to Egypt, where I did snorkling and bathing in Red Sea, nice beach and great food as well as in Switzerland where I went skiing.

What can the problem be with doing extravagant traveling? and building wealth so you can have those exotic experiences?

Why do you travel? To ‘escape’ the ‘normal’ life? To escape the everyday? To not look into yourself? I feel when you travel you don’t necessarily look inwards, introspect & bask in simplicity. You’re chasing extreme/exotic experiences.

Appreciate if you can elaborate your thoughts of traveling, luxury & exotic experiences.

There's no problem with it, as long as you don't make this your identity, a 'traveler' or 'instagram influencer', or as you said constant escapism. It can be very fulfilling, fun, a learning opportunity to understand very different cultures, in some places it's almost like you're on another planet.

There's time for solitary introspection, and time to explore the world. And ultimately, when the distinction between you and other collapses, outwards will become inwards and vice-versa. Looking at all the mountains and jungles and oceans you'll be seeing the beauty of your own Self.

Whichever way you turn, there is the face of God

Doing it out of pure intuitive urge to explore, be joyful, love, expand and appreciate the world are amazing reasons that align you to your higher self.

Doing it purely as a distraction or to appear a certain way to others that doesn’t leave you feeling good then perhaps you shouldn’t be.

I personally had a random desire to visit country a year ago and a few months later coincidentally was invited to visit. It was a trip full of fun, self-growth, realisations, flow and synchronicities. In fact, it lead me to do a lot of introspection and integration after this trip.

I travel to appreciate the incredible beauty of this world.

How amazing is it that all of this exists? The infinite intelligence of God just never stops to amaze me.
