Poland shoots immigrants legally

Poland has recently passed a law, allowing immigrants attempting to cross illegally to be shot on the spot.

They claim that Poland has the lowest crime rates because of their strict immigration policy.

That's a trully brutal policy. But perhaps needed for Poland specifically. But maybe it should be implemented in a more mercifull form, for example the first 3 times we'll catch you crossing our border as an illegal immigrant, we'll use non lethal meassures to detain you, then after 4th time we'll use actual bullets. Something like that. Being shot at immidiately is kinda brutal

It’s very backwards imo.

I’m not saying Europe or Poland should take these refugees or immigrants but i’m sure there are better ways than shooting at unarmed people. It’s just so silly.

They probably want it so that potential immigrants and refugees see those videos and then think we’ll not even try to go to Poland.

Sweden and other European countries fu**ed up by giving benefits basically free money to refugees and immigrants. Quite open border, social policies and now it’s seemingly a nightmare. Stop giving money close borders etc. But a Problem is also that often second generation immigrants with Swedish passports turn violent and you can’t really kick them out. I think that is what Poland is fearing.

There should be a distinction between different types of immigrants; the ones that are going there to spread their underdeveloped lifestyle and the ones who want to have better life relative to their current one.

If they are accepted, there should be some compromise from the immigrants; they must try to drop off their bigoted, racist views, etc.

However, that would only work if the locals aren't racists and bigots themselves.

It's just dissapointing for me to see that humans only tend to have a dual response to everything, we are either too tolerant and accommodating or we become too hostile and defensive. There should be a more nuanced approach to these immigrant crisies, whenever they're happenning, our responses to them should be flexible depending on the situation or the ammount of threat (or lack thereof) immigrants pose to us. Instead we just get drifted out from one side of the political spectrum to the other, making our responses very innefective

 Not all countries go from one extreme to the other. Some are quite sensible. It is not an easy thing though. But for example Germany tends to go from one extreme to another.
