Canada tariffs also not happening. 😂

It's a 30-day pause on tariffs, after which it will be dangling over our heads again.

And he's still on about this, acting like an abusive partner. Either he's spouting complete nonsense, he's distracting from other things he's doing on purpose, or it really is an overt threat. Which one is it primarily?

Either way, I'm STILL not going back to supporting American megacorps and businesses, and I suspect that many other Canadians feel the same way.

Yea i wouldn’t either. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to boycott whatsapp, youtube, microsoft, apple etc.

I wonder if they have a bigger plan, like ultimately uniting US with Canada and the UK with Trump or his kid the Elon as the King.

hmm. interesting. Did Trump threaten tariffs as a negotiating tactic for making Mexico and Canada increase border security? If so, this is a win, not only for him, but maybe America, and his base and many more will love him for it. They'll start back thinking he's Mr. 4D Chess again.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if he really goes through with these tariffs, eventually.

FYI, that money was already going to be put into border security. Canada already agreed to it...

https://www.canada.ca/en/public-safety-canada/news/2024/12/the-government-of-canadas-border-plan-significant-investments-to-strengthen-border-security-and-our-immigration-system.html

The time stamp is at the bottom of that webpage (December 2024).

It's being reframed as some kind of brand-new win in media, and it is not. It's our PM patting DT on the back and saying "yep, you won!". This is literally what DT does -- spread misinformation.

This video was from last month.

As for fentanyl coming in from Canada because of the so-called drug war; do you know how little of it is Canadian? From your own media sources, it's about: 0.2%

We know that he's making up reasons for whatever it is that he has in mind.

He's making it up because that's what he does. Americans are mostly entitled assholes. They're addicted to their complacent mediocrity and choose that over taking life seriously, so Trump can do and say another 36,000 lies and they'd vote him in again if given the chance. I envy you Canadians for they are not your compatriots.

(Canadian here) We have our own problems! Would you like me to get into the details?

"They don't take our cars⎯and we take almost everything from them"

America has about 8 or 9 car brands, 7 of which are completely irrelevant and don't even make diesel-powdered vehicles, the Europeans mainly drive diesel. Is this guy actually mad that people are buying Mercedes, BMW, and Audi instead of Jeep, Chevrolet, and Cadillac? He can't even use his head properly, he's an absolute dumbass. Somebody needs to tell him this shit.

We buy iPhones, use Google, Facebook and Amazon every day. And we don't complain.

There are no EU phone companies, EU search engines, or EU-owned Worldwide e-commerce stores like Amazon.

His plan is to conquer Canada.

He uses the propaganda of immigration and illegal drug trafficking as justification for his actions.

He sees Canada like a bully sees weak nerds in high school. That’s why he selected Canada.

I am expecting military troops to invade Canada at some point in the future.

The rich want you to believe that immigrants are the cause of growing inequality. Because they don’t wanna focus on the real solution of taxing the rich more.

Blaming immigrants and crime rates for justification of war is the oldest trick in the book, it’s a good thing mainstream media has no concept of the lessons of history.

They will crash the economy, and then buy the dip. Only increasing inequality further..

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Great vid, I subbed to the guy. Trump said UK was workable - perhaps it will be a Atlanticist alliance of US, UK, Canada - with UK and Canada as subordinates, Australia too. Basically the Anglo speaking world.

UK and EU will try to balance between US and China/Asia/Middle East as they are in a weaker position and need whatever investment / cheap energy they can get. Australia will balance because they’re literally in Asia itself. US would rather have their partners isolate themselves to the West in order to check mate China - but they seem to be waking up and realising they need a backbone in order to not get stuck between competing super powers and US wanting to vassalize them totally.

So if Trumps Mexico and Canada rhetoric is largely posturing over nothing, what about Panama:

IMG_5576.jpeg
This is basically a power in relative decline. The US has lost its global dominance so wants to at least consolidate regional dominance in its own backyard - while it can.

It’s like a ex champion no longer able to compete for world titles so they settle for defending their local belt.

Nothing shows this more than below:

Non-Canadians gravely underestimate how hard Canadians will fight back when pushed into a corner, whether in a trade war or an actual, real arms war. They should, at the very least, be prepared to bleed in ways that are highly, deeply inconvenient and painful for them.

At this point, the more we are pushed unjustifiably and the more disrespect there is, the more we will push back.

Like... my grandfather did not lose his leg fighting Nazis and fascists for no reason. It was a long time ago, but men THREW THEMSELVES into enlisting in that war. Unfortunately, it often takes conflict and a universal threat to have this level of solidarity. When was the last time we had this level of solidarity in Canada anyway?

Sure.

But i think if they wanted to annex Canada. They wouldn’t do it by war. They would use sneaky propaganda for years and try to divide the people, muddy the waters, make the ground fertile. Propaganda through tv, internet (Musk) and so on. They would try to create a bigger Maga or Make Canada Great Again movement and then say how great it’ll be. Through economy and business means. And then all the benefits you can live in Florida and use the dollar blah.

Ishanga in this thread (i think he’s Canadian) already said he wouldn’t mind having something like a union with the US. No border both use US dollars and so on.

I think it is unlikely as well (physical war).

If they're interested in propaganda, they'd best use a different technique rather than overt attempts at causing diversion/ exhaustion combined with disrespect. If they're even mentally capable of it, that is. Again, treating us as America 2.0 which is going to continue to go along with whatever whims they have is a mistake that enough Canadians will not overlook anymore, looming tariff or no tariff. I've said before -- this is a breaking point.

The overt lack of "respect" thing is huge.

At least make SOME attempt to slide the disrespect under the rug ("plausible deniability") and present some kind of cohesive narrative about what you actually want.  (I mean, please don't. Please keep making it easier for us to turn against you so we can be kicked into gear and sort ourselves out already. As someone mentioned before, we very much have our own issues as a country.)

He does not represent our zeitgeist, especially right now.
