Can alcohol be spiritual?

@Carl-Richard Did you have hallucinations ?

Haha no. It just felt like I was a bit numb and my body was lighter than usual. The visual field seemed a bit flatter and "fluid".

A hangover sure can be. Try doing positive affirmations or some visualization about health and abundance when having a hellish hangover. It can help shed some spiritual bs

But also, I think any state of intoxication or change of state can potentially be insightful. Even the "lower" states. But of course, some intoxicants are dangerous and harmful to the body and mind. There are many that I would never even try once.

This time you're the scientist.

No problem.
Dissociatives can be spiritual; There must be some Stockholm Swedes here who have access to ketamine.

Why is it called dissociative? I googled and it says ketamine is classed as a drug here. But Id still like to try

Yes, its very spiritual just not the good feeling kind. Its dark spirituality. It contains absolute abandonment. The biggest spiritual experience I ever had came from alcohol. It felt like I was dead for 3 months abandoned by family friends and God. The path contains countless liters of vomit countless headaches countless beatings countless negative experiences and a finale where you stare God in the eye screaming in fear. It can scar you mentally for a long time. If you can survive the pay off is massive and your awakening will be so good.

After I experience Gods death stare my life got way worse it was if I fell into a different dark dimension. I started getting paranoid, I started feeling like evil things were staring at me from shadows, I started feeling like I was a robot and that I would be stuck working dead end jobs forver. It was terrible for 8 more years. Then I awaken. The path I took was from like 16 - 32 so 3 shots is not the path. You have to live with complete abandon for your own life.

I dont get what your main point is. You think the hangover and vomiting can be spiritual? You took 16-32 shots? Do you mean people abandon you because you were alcoholic?

Ketamine was the closest thing to alcohol I used. I must have snorted 100-200mg and 5 minutes after i finished it was like suddenly being a 5 year old again.

Is ketamine similar to alcohol?

Alcohol is a multiplier, so if I'm happy I will be more happy, and when I'm sad I will get more sad.

Interesting observation. I haven't had emotions in a long time so I can't tell if alcohol does this to me. I think it has like a "toning down" affect on consciousness, like it lessens self awareness too, maybe there is something spiritual about that

There is spirit in spiritual for a reason and I think alcohol is called spirit because it affects our spirit.

Thats cool if its true

No, it inhibits your awareness. And destroys your health.

I notice it kinda tones everything down, including ones self awareness, so maybe there might be something spiritual about that

I have heard in somewhat distant past in India there were a sage who made devi pujas (offerings to grant them siddhis or mystical powers) and this yogi just drink alcohol constantly like water had no effect on his body.

Thats cool I wonder why it had no effect on him, and why he would drink it. I notice even if I drink quite a bit of alcohol I am still rational and can think and act normal so it seems I have high tolerance.

@Sugarcoat anything that changes one’s state of mind can be used for seeing things from a new perspective.

but it’s better to avoid things that damage the body.

Id agree. Id have to contemplate how alcohol affects me while im on it to figure it out. I notice as I wrote before that even if I get drunk I can still act and think normal, I wonder how much I need before I lose some self control

I bet there is something that can be learnt from suffering. One can use it to practice presence maybe

There is a spiritual path of drinking alcohol where you become addicted and crazy stuff happens too you as you sleep walk through drunken states. That's why there are so many people who say Jesus saved them and are born again after being an alcoholic cause he does and its a path of spiritual awakening.  Its dangerous because it requires you to skirt the line between dying and living by over dosing on alcohol over and over again.

The path from beggining to completion took from 16-32 age wise  for me not shots.

On alcohol like ketamine it can bring you to the one ultimate conciousness state where you have no mind but are completely aware thats there is no one and nothing.

@Sugarcoat Yes thats how you see God you skirt the edge between life and death so closely that you cant tell the difference anymore. And you are free.

You see life is happening 'over top ' of death. Or just hovering above it.

Leo made a video about that, basically it dissociates you from motor functions and in a certain way the ego.

There are often hallucinations even at small/medium doses, i saw objects in my room "crawling" it was weird.

It was an extremely weird feeling in general, in a different way from psychedelics.

@Sugarcoat It dosent have to be dangerous just without a care about what people tell you. Look at a drunk they are belligerent they don't care about what other people think and do what they want.  People tell them everyday to quit and they suck and are humiliating but they keep doing it. They keep getting in trouble because they are sleep walking through life but burning through their karma very quickly.

Grandpas funeral? I'm going to show up drunk and start fighting the pastor. Nephew birthday? I'm wasted knocking shit over. The entire family call you a disgrace you say fk it ima keep doing it. Then one day you see God and it terrifies you and you enter the dark night a worse stage.
