Can alcohol be spiritual?

43 posts in this topic

I just took 3 shots a little while ago and I'm feeling a little drunk. It's hard to describe how it feels but it's like I feel more "automatic", like there is less thoughts involved in my action, like I'm less self conscious. I'm not fully sure. But yea the question is in the title.

Lol why did you do that.

Alcool works essentially like a mix between a benzodiazepine, and a dissociative (like ketamine).

But it's toxic.

Achieving enlightenment, one whiskey at a time. :P

No, and just in case, do not go down problematic roads.

No problem.
Dissociatives can be spiritual; There must be some Stockholm Swedes here who have access to ketamine.

Why do you think it's called Spirits.

Yes, its very spiritual just not the good feeling kind. Its dark spirituality. It contains absolute abandonment. The biggest spiritual experience I ever had came from alcohol. It felt like I was dead for 3 months abandoned by family friends and God. The path contains countless liters of vomit countless headaches countless beatings countless negative experiences and a finale where you stare God in the eye screaming in fear. It can scar you mentally for a long time. If you can survive the pay off is massive and your awakening will be so good.

After I experience Gods death stare my life got way worse it was if I fell into a different dark dimension. I started getting paranoid, I started feeling like evil things were staring at me from shadows, I started feeling like I was a robot and that I would be stuck working dead end jobs forver. It was terrible for 8 more years. Then I awaken. The path I took was from like 16 - 32 so 3 shots is not the path. You have to live with complete abandon for your own life.

In short you get smashed.

Ketamine was the closest thing to alcohol I used. I must have snorted 100-200mg and 5 minutes after i finished it was like suddenly being a 5 year old again.

@Schizophonia Yes its like being put under Gods anvil and he just keeps hitting you and you dont know why. Weirdly enough when I was very young I would get odd feelings in my conciousness where it felt like something scary was right in front of my face and I would hear hammering sounds it was very unnerving. I didnt experience it past a point in my life and just like 4 months ago I experienced the same feeling except it felt like it was leaving. I dont know what it is but I have a feeling its spiritual.

I'm not a Stockholm Swede but a Vestland Norwegian, so close enough (not really).

I remember one time I was technically in benzodiazepine withdrawal (but only mildly), I was drinking with some of my friends and I started thinking about how I had become tolerant to the GABAergic effects of the alcohol and that I would start to feel more of the NMDA antagonist effects than usual. And at one point I tried to do some pushups in the bathroom and it felt a little more weird than normal alcohol. I have never tried dissociatives outside N2O, but I could see how that would be what a threshold amount of ketamine would feel like.

No, it inhibits your awareness. And destroys your health.

I have heard in somewhat distant past in India there were a sage who made devi pujas (offerings to grant them siddhis or mystical powers) and this yogi just drink alcohol constantly like water had no effect on his body.

@Sugarcoat anything that changes one’s state of mind can be used for seeing things from a new perspective.

but it’s better to avoid things that damage the body.
