How do you know who to listen to in this world? What are good sources? What people do you listen to?  How do you know who shares truthful information? How do you navigate all the information and different perspectives out there?

Should you listen to Business people? Experts? Psychologists? Mystics? Gurus? YouTubers? Economists? Healthcare professionals? Doctors? Your Parents? Your siblings? Your friends?

So much knowledge, information & perspectives to navigate out there. Where do you find the META-level people? Where do you find people with high level, wise, big picture, holistic & metalevel thinking?

How do you know if you can trust certain people, and others not? What are certain principles/checklists you can go through to know if you can trust someone’s “expertise” and “knowledge”?

I believe that we can learn from literally everyone some valuable nuggets of information, The thing is to be able to personally discern the good bits of information from the bad bits of information. But personally I believe that we should stay away from sources that promote discrimination, hatred, or selfishness and big ego. But your question is one that I personally couldn't find a perfect answer even with a lifetime of contemplation on this question. It is really tricky. And the answer isn't the same for everyone.

Look at someone's life as best You can then if what they are doing seems to be the way you would like to live then listen to them,, Forget information, stuff You see online, whatever You buy into there are so many counter arguments it make You confused, in fact there is too much sharing going on and for the wrong reasons, ppl want fame rather than sharing authenically what they know...

I know a World Class Martial Artist, he's Bruce Lee level skill, he has a Youtube channel, he's been sharing videos for years and he still has a hard time getting 10K views for a particular video, whereas some dummy will post something I know doesn't work (30yrs+yrs in Martial Art) and he gets 100K views in a day, and the quality is not as good either, but if You look at the two there is no comparison in skill levels and knowledge..So if You can see how they live their lives, you'll find out the truth that way for sure...

@Ishanga That’s a very good example. I often find that the people who have the least views, and are harder to find tend to have deeper expertise.

And people who use “cookie cutter”, “attention grabbers” and have thousands of views and have EXPENSIVE courses don’t have valuable information to share.

btw who is the particular YouTuber you know about marshal arts? I wanna get good in that field so I’m curious to find gold nuggets.

i love finding gold nuggets and diamond mines in new fields (people who are highly experienced experts with tons of wisdom and meta awareness)

There is no way around independent thinking. Consume many sources but then piece it together yourself like an autonomous mind. Stop wanting some human to give you the understanding.

Adam Chan out of Vancouver Canada.. He's also very much into Qi Gung, it healed him recently, he was in tremendous pain and almost died to overtraining and such from his years of MA training, nothing helped him so he went to his Qi Gung Master and did the practices (4hrs a day for two years), it totally cured him and he's never been happier and healthier he says, and its improved his Martial Arts skills too.. He's into Wing Chun, and his form of Jeet Kune Do, as he learned from Bruce Lee's 1st student and others as well, plus he's sort of a MA genius himself (he's never admit this) and added his own creations to it, being invovled with MA as long as I have I will verify he's top level and very humble but a realist in the end!

Extremely helpful answers. That makes sense. I’m constantly elevating my perspective, gaining a metalevel, big-picture & wiser level understanding.

Consuming all different perspectives, especially meta-perspectives and synthesizing them into my own meta views of reality. Taking as many different fields of reality as possible and becoming a high level systems thinker.

Every moment of reality is an opportunity to grow and learn. Every interaction with reality, wether that’s interacting with my parents, my Uni friends,  health masterminds, this forum—are all opportunities to learn & grow wiser.

@freddyteisen The more perspectives you consume the less likely you are to get trapped in any one of them.

I've consumed so many perspectives it's like a chess grandmaster who knows all the opening moves. Which makes it impossible to fool me with some common trick.

People like you who’ve consumed and synthesized many big pictures? Do we have a thread where I can find such high level people? People reaching Infinite Intelligence-like levels.

I share every source of mine in the book list and blog.

My approach is not to look for meta big picture thinkers but to assemble that meta view myself, but consuming hundreds of quality, narrow, specialized sources like historians, spiritual gurs, scientists, philosophers, etc.

If you read 200 books, you will have a very good foundation.

@Leo Gura I don't know why but this reminded me of your course that you're planning to launch later .. I hesitated asking this for a while but is it possible to point in some direction of what that secret is for actualizing all the content from your videos and books are, that abstraction thing or something that puts it all together? Of course you wouldnt be able to like give all of it, but is there some book that covers the techniques for that? It's understandable if you don't want to share as well as that would be the substance of your course, and what would draw people in to your course, but I thought I'd ask just in case you are willing to share.
