People who think meditation is weird

I live in a western country and sometimes when I tell people that I meditate I get the weirdest looks and when I tell them what it is about they even look weirder while these judgmental people might profit from meditation the most. On one side I just want to hide my dirty little secret and on the other hand I just don’t give a fuck and just tell what I do in my private time. Much better than what the usual people do like watching tv and watching porn.

@AION The mind always sees everything weird what is not familiar. By living this kind of counscious life you will be judged as weird. I grew to like "being" weird.

Westerners are anti satan. Meditation and hinduism is Satan worship. Shiva is satan or the darkness of the world. If they knew what meditation was they would verbally attack you.

Keep it up who cares what they think.  They don't even exist if you aren't imagining them (meaning bringing them into existence through thought)

That's what is happening you know.  If you get too far into your meditation you may not like what you find.

If they give you that weird look, just say: "It's a great practice if you're interested in becoming mentally focused and reducing what's known as "Monkey Mind".

@gambler Christians mass murdered all the witches because they did this stuff. When a Christian says black magic or satan or the devil they are talking about what these guru's are doing.

They beleive to just live life and don't do anything like this. They think that God will give you what you get and that's it. But they are being lied too by the higher Christians. God dosent care what you do and likes for you to explore this stuff.

Precisely.  Christians are some untamed beasts.  I'm trying to marry one now and it's a struggle.  I agreed to go to Church and all on Sunday.  I know I need to get out of it but it's hard when you love someone.

People might have some hippie or monk stereotype in their head that is about mumbo jumbo spirituality and mental masturbation armchair philosophical existential questioning. And they judge this stereotype and associate it with you when you say you practice meditation. There can also be an inferiority complex involved where they feel threatened by these people who go deeper like “how dare you be deeper than me”, as if there’s a complex about their own depth and how interesting they are as a person.

He may have.  I don't know what it is - but when i turn on the music of Jesus I feel the awakening coming on again.  I think it's God in general.  Leo's classes is what allowed me to wake up and for that I am ever grateful.   But there is something about Christ - about his music. It is most likely God in general just bestowed his love on me.

Yes but then you were liying because you don't do meditation for that reason, you do because you want to open your being to the absolute, break your human limitation and open yourself as much as possible to the unlimited. If you explain it to them they will think you are retarded or crazy. A lot of people is very closed minded and that's normal. But what's not so normal and is very positive is that nowadays are a lot of people that if you say that they would understand more or less what you are talking about, and they will think, yes I understand, it's not my moment, I'm very focused in my things, but would be great do it.

Sure, but maybe they are right, I mean, why would you talk about this topic with anyone who's really interested in it? You don't tell to everyone everything that you do right? Just to people who you think that maybe will understand you and share your perspective , then saying that you meditate, search the transcendence, sounds that you want to be more interesting than him

@AION Yes its what Jesus says to do but they don't follow any of it. They have no idea about anything and are just in control by their preachers. Im pretty sure someone took over their religion when they murdered all the people who knew about God.

They literally went anyone who knows about consciousness is dead and we are going to burn them. Anyone who knows about consciousness can gain higher levels of power over reality.

I don't agree, after some point of psychogical development you start to see the beauty and the power in other people. When you see that they are stupid or weak it's because you are blind. They are complex, strong just because they are, positive push, alive. They are in the edge of death, same than you, they are dancing in the infinity.
