Any Value In Reading The Bible?

29 posts in this topic

Depends on what you want to get out of it but generally, I'd say no -- too tedious and archaic.

Reading a book such as Christ Sutras by Bart Marshall might be a more productive use of your time, even if just for fun.

If you read between the lines, so to speak, sure you can derive Truth from reading the bible.

For instance, the quote: "Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven".

Meaning: One must become egoless (like a child) to realize one's true nature.

Been watching Bible debates recently. It's kinda entertaining sometimes.

Imagine for a moment, dear friends, that you are Conciousness, and that you have only this one awareness - that you are at peace, and that you are.

Yes it is good, but don't look upon reading any book as some means to an end, just use the information, contemplate it a bit but sooner or later You have to get out of this intellectual pursuit of Truth and find it within Yourself, if it doesn't come naturally too You then Use already established and effective time proven methods (Yoga) to help You with it...

"the kingdom of God is within you" appears in Luke 17:21. The full verse reads, "For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you".

This reminds me of when I got into my own bible debates my first semester of college. Pretty fruitless endeavors though since their so stuck in ideology (as was I at this time).

I watched this playlist and deeply resonated with it. The way Aaron explains the Bible is truly magical. Also, the key is to read the “passion translation” version of the bible, it’s amazing and whoever wrote this translation was really realized.
