Any Value In Reading The Bible?

54 posts in this topic

The Bible is very underrated. Read this and see how you feel afterwards:

PSALM 103:

With my whole heart, with my whole life,
and with my innermost being,
I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God!

Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration.
How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness
you’ve done for me?

You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done.
You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease.
You’ve rescued me from hell  and saved my life.
You’ve crowned me with love and mercy.

You satisfy my every desire with good things.
You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again
like a flying eagle in the sky!

Like I said read Jesus's lectures in the new testament. That's the only part that's valuable in the bible .

The old testament is just folklore and biography of children of Israel.  But who knows maybe you can learn something from genesis about God resting in the seventh day after he finished creating the world . Even God gets tired and needs to rest😴.

Better yet ..please give the Quran a chance .

Make sure to read the Bible in The Passion Translation (TPT). It's the most accurate translation available. Plus, it really brings lots of emotional depth and a heart-centered perspective to scripture. Way better than the normal versions of the translation, which got corrupted by the catholic church.

Hand me a non-dual one then I'm def in. Or better have AI sing me a non-dual version of the King James but using a choir of angels and rhyming iambic pentameter, Then we're getting near to God. Best of all, look at what God dictated to Helen Schuman word for word in iambic pentameter which became the book freely available online called A Course in Miracles.

Now can somebody just hand me down my walking cane?

Lots of garbage / egoic projections in the Bible but the sermon on the mount is pretty dope.

I mean come on does it get much better than that?

Jesus was an extremist for love! 2000 years later our hearts are still too small for his message.

Unfortunately, I think that the Bible is a kind of distorted book, especially the Old Testament because it is written in a language that doesn't have commas, vowels, dots, and question marks. The meaning of a sentence can be changed based on where you put a pause, and everybody can easily justify their agenda by it.  The New Testament was written many years after Jesus died, his disciples were uneducated fishermen, probably deluded liars as >90% of humans are, and we also lost the original writings. Then unknown men made copies of the original writings based on mostly verbal transitions, like in the famous "telephone game" when the source message every time distorts.

But anyway, what is important is that the core of Jesus' teachings likely have survived in the New Testament but it's rational to believe that there are many paths that could lead us in the wrong direction. :S  Even Jesus's name got distorted, his original name was Yeshua! 😨

The funny thing is that many things in the Old Testament were inherited from Egyptian culture, except cats. Because they didn't want readers to mistakenly confuse themselves into thinking that cat means god. And in the end, we called ourselves Catholics. 😂 🐈

Cling to can mean different things to different people. I'm guessing you're asking because of the way I speak. I don't look at life as something to cling to. Things come and things go. I've had so many of those kinds of changes that I've learnt to not cling to anything too material. I'm not nihilistic nor am I just nonchalant about life. Life is glorious. Too glorious and magnificent and magical for me to try and claim to be mine. It's life lifing and I'm here witnessing it all, apparently and until I'm not. Idk what comes after but for now it's a show but not a show to be claimed or owned. Life is unconditional and doesn't need my petty conditions for it to be whatever it wants. I've recognized it's temporary and fleeting so why cling.

Have you used any psychedelics,  mushrooms,  5meo dmt, etc, or all these knowledge comes to you naturally 😉  quite impressed with your knowledge.
