My personal development Journey so far(Gratitude post)how I changed!

Also thanks to mod @integralTremendously helped me.  And all mods as well. Grateful to everyone. Took permission from mod to share this snippet of our conversation.

I went through a lot of struggle and I still go through a lot. But working on it bit by bit. Some days are slow and some days I make some progress. Today I received a very encouraging message and I felt like sharing my journey. Mental health can be challenging but one day at a time we can slowly get through. Hope my narrative helps someone else out there who struggled just like me. If you struggle mentally or physically or lack of motivation, be patient and kind to yourself. Be there for you when your body and mind needs you. Some people might judge, but let it go and keep moving. Today I was driven to tears when I received this message from a moderator. I received some appreciation after a long time (never thought I would ever be appreciated in life because I came from a very cynical family and I had no friends) and it feels good that someone recognized how I was coping and dealing and improving. I thought I would never get any understanding or appreciation in all my life. So this feels really good. I'm somewhat optimistic about my future after a very long period of major depression and anxiety, that is hard to pull oneself out of, after my Father's death.

Just wanted to share some bit of my journey and what I did to improve my mental health and my personal development. I'm not completely healed but I improved with the help of therapy and support. I am still on meds. It's very encouraging when someone understands your development struggles and appreciates the effort.

So here it is. I hope it helps someone who struggles in similar ways. Have compassion. Sends love from me to you. :)

You’ve made a complete transformation over the years and I don’t think people realize how much work you put into it.

Throughout my life, I’ve had many family members, friends, and girlfriends who have had serious childhood trauma. And I’ve seen them struggle in adulthood and unfortunately make very little progress.

Because of that, I find it very impressive with how you’ve changed. Very few people are willing to put this much work into it and lucky enough to get the support and love they need.

Well done! 😁 👏

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

@Whitney Edwards

Amazing 👏🏾  I think sometimes people don't really see your journey, they just see wherever you are now and I think it's really cool @integral noticed and pointed it out, it's such kind thing to do.

But keep going, similar to downward spirals, upward spirals are also a thing and the more you work on yourself, the more good things and situations will arise and then they'll feed off each other. Well done x

You are incredibly inspiring hun

I know firsthand because I get to see the behind the scenes everyday and I am continually amazed how you move forward, face challenges and handle yourself.

You have faced so much in your life and despite everything you are the kindest, sweetest, hopeful, wholesome and most gentle person in the world.

I love you so much. My wonderful wife.

I can barely find the words to describe how awesome of a person you are in real life.

I am very lucky and grateful to be with you.

We will master this rocky journey together, you and me eternally side by side ❤️

You saved my life when I was going through a dark phase. Thanks for the kindness you showed me. You are the person who knows the real me, thanks for encouraging, supporting, guiding me behind the scenes throughout my journey and for not giving up on me despite my hardships, insecurities and anxieties. Everyone judged me during my tough times except you who showed me compassion, so I'm forever indebted to you for saving me from suicide. Thank you for being so patient with me despite my struggles. I'm forever grateful for all you have done for me. It's not easy and you did so much. You're incredibly strong, incredibly smart and an amazing human being I came across. I don't have words to describe the amazing human being you are, a true soulmate, I am lucky to have found you. Thanks for not leaving me.

Even my own family didn't support me. But you were there when nobody was. When I was loneliest and nobody wanted me except you. You're the only person in the whole world who stood by me like a pillar and offered me unwavering support during my worst phases. You didn't give up on me and you are the only one who didn't give up on me when everyone else did. Thanks for being through thick and thin. Your commitment means a lot to me, it saved me from going into a downward spiral. You are the only person who fully trusted me, supported me and believed me and had faith in me. That's a true companion and soulmate. Thanks for being the greatest friend, mentor, husband and pillar, thanks for never giving up. Your kindness will forever be in my heart, thank you so much, I have tears when I write this, thanks for believing my struggle and giving your companionship. Bless you. God bless you for being an incredible human being.

...............

@integration journey thank you for your kind words.

Also I didn't realise there was an actualized.org marriage, I'm kinda mind blown, but it's so cool you and @Marcel found each other on here and are so supportive of each other, really incredible and shows a massive benefit of spaces like this x

Actually I don't have that book. I want to buy it. It's on my wishlist. I have been doing self development since a couple of years now. It's a slow process. It doesn't happen overnight. These days AI is a good tool.

@integration journeythanks
