Does anyone have experience using AI for therapy/shadow work?

Notice I did say "mostly", so there could be exceptions. But overwhelmingly it's what you might call "healer types". 

Otherwise I am in a healing position, whether the other person is conscious of this or not, but I would know.

Do you want to bond over your traumas? I don't think that's healthy foundation for a friendship. Friends can be supportive in your "healing" but their not therapists. That would make the relationship one-sided and its not what friends are for. 

A "healer type" is getting something out of talking about your traumas, like the opposite of a parasite. They are like the little birds that pick crocodiles teeth. They are not necessarily your friend if they have no interest in spending time with you otherwise.
