What are labels/titles we give things

4 posts in this topic

things are universally known and labeled due to a circumstance, occurrence/happening. and out of that phenomenon a label is placed upon it that which becomes universally known and understood.

the mind as we already know exists in consciousness, we exist in consciousness.... but how do things we create exist within the within....

luck for example.... thats a title placed on something because something happened ..... now people percieve it and come to beleive it ... ultimately the label which we "create" comes to be believed.

some people believe in luck/ good luck etc....

so i guess what I'm asking is ... since consciousness is all... does consciousness manipulate these titles and make them seem real... can we believe in luck and it be actually so?

thanks much

Id say its just sounds used to describe qualia. The titles don't matter they could be any label, the label is used so multiple experiences of consciousness can talk about the same qualia. If someone says you are lucky it has a specific qualia attached to it, if you understand what the qualia is with another person you can both say the word and feel the qualia. The body is like a cage that you can experience all the qualia without becoming the thing as you are behind a false cage. If you leave the body you wont be able to experience the qualia as a seperate experience you just turn into that thing. Reality can be seen as an infinite qualia matrix. Your life is the qualia of the object you gathered, your body.

We as souls, empty space between everything, can go into every object God created and see its an infinite machine to experience qualia. You could go into a flower and it will have a rich expression of whatever God made the flower to be like and you would be like that flower. The only problem is you wont have the human mind you are using to describe reality, to navigate it, as you arent doing anything in the body its just a machine in consciousness. You wont even be able to think about what decisions you are making like a human does.

It's far more subtle than just labels, which is just language, but the idea is correct. It's more like mental constructs than pure language. The mental constructs act like templates and we match perceptions and happenings to these templates. So you have a mental construct for "luck" as well as the label for that mental construct.

Having a label doesn't make the label happen, it just makes it possible to realise when the label hapens. Say you had no idea what "luck" was and no label for it, then luck would never happen. But you learn the label "luck", and now things that happen can be matched to your new mental construct, and you can call it luck.

The mental construct is just a different type of perception than a sound or a colour, it's all within consciousness. Mental constructs are built from other constructs and so you can share them via language (which is all constructs).
