Musk is not that stupid to not know that's the fascist salute... Kinda scary imo

Yes it's a nazi salute. I mean he did it twice. And he knows it. He also posted this joke later and it's Holocaust Remembrance Day / Auschwitz liberation day on January 27. He ought to know it.

I'm sure that he knows what he was doing. First off, apparently Twitter has been a pretty Neo-Nazi-friendly space since he took over.

Also, you can't be a megalomaniac that's rubbing elbows with the far right and do a Nazi salute... and also be given the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't intentional. Clearly it was. 

I think people can excuse it and do mental gymnastics about it because they still hold the idea that being a Neo-Nazi is a rare thing.

But it really isn't that rare... it's quite common and banal. That's especially true in this current era since mainstream Conservatism and Fascism have been becoming more and more indistinguishable from one another over the past 10 years or so.

I think people need to realize how common and prevalent Fascism is. And gaslighting ourselves out of recognizing it isn't doing us any favors.

It didn't do us any favors 10 years ago. And it doesn't do us any favors today.

How come these hardcore pro Israeli Zionist fanboys that seem to call anyone pro Palestinian a "Nazi" or "Hamas supporter" seem to be so tolerant and dismissive of Musk salute.

They are downright defending him meanwhile the "Anti Jewish" liberals are the ones that are attacking Musk for it.

Some of the guests at Piers Morgan show or the hosts at Talk tv who are hardcore pro Isareli were so apologetic of Musk salute.

People like that is who I have in mind.

He did a nazi SALUTE. "Salute" is a verb that means to greet or show respect to someone or something.

If i do a military salute to someone, it is fair to assume i am or i was in the military, and the same for this "someone" ?

Humans largely can't control their base behavior if their childhood was fucked up or they have bad genetics though. Seeing how good my intentions have been and how hard it is to force change on the brain has really led me towards a sympathy of the human condition. There's a balance between accountability and sympathy for our nature. That said you can't just let people who's brains are fucked up get away with everything... carrot/stick conditioning is how the brain learns behaviors are bad and society determines what behaviors are unacceptable. It's largely the political left that never want to enforce laws and let crime get out of control in cities. They should do it more like China and actually punish people who steal cars with a few years in prison, then people wouldn't steal cars anymore. Threat of punishment is a great deterrent. Throw juvenile offenders into boot camp instead of simply letting them go. You shouldn't have to worry about things being stolen in a civilized society... people who steal should be removed from said society.

I personally don't think Musk meant anything by it and those on the left who want to over-react to something taken out of context just make their side look that much more silly, though I admit I am shocked by some of Trump's policies since he took office. I don't know what to think, I'm just enjoying watching the show that is human nature.
