Dr. K is merely explaining why people, young men in particular, voted Trump. Whether or not people will use that information to entrench themselves politically or ideologically is besides the point.

I think the forum is turning into a bit of a Stage Green liberal circle jerk lately. So much demonization and badmouthing. Very little considering of other perspectives, lesser as they may seem. A lot of thinking of one's perspective as the default correct position. It should be obvious at this point that people don't vote with any degree of rigor. Its almost incidental whether or not a political nominee is a fascist or a hippie.

There is this phenomenon in my country (Norway) where under virtually any TikTok video where the subject is only vaguely related to immigrants (and even when it's not related at all), people (probably mostly teens) will spam "Stem FrP", which means "Vote the Far-Right party". And maybe not coincidentally, that exact party has been leading in the polls for the last few months now for the first time ever.

One of the main reasons trump won was that Trump focused a lot on transgender issues, like opposing gender-affirming care for minors and transgender participation in sports. He framed these as threats to traditional values and fairness, which fired up his conservative base. 

This point repeatedly gets bought up by his right wing supporters like JP,Andrew tate.Wasnt this also the reason why Elon started supporting trump ?
