Record snowfall in florida. Schools shut down. Pensacola. Tallahassee. Many areas saw more snow than they have in at least 130 years. At least 10 dead. As freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall threaten the south, multiple fatalities have been reported due to car crashes and hypothermia. Mobile, Alabama, reported 7.5 inches, exceeding the previous 3.6-inch record from 1973. New Orleans shattered its modern all-time daily snowfall record on Tuesday, receiving 8 inches of snow, far surpassing the previous record of 2.7 inches. Source - ABC news and CNN.
