How To Counter Group Think?

46 posts in this topic

For the record, just because they don't want to vote for the left wing candidate doesn't mean they're practicing group think. And the left isn't inherently better than the right...

However I will say, their actual reasoning sounds very sexist and stupid, and you should address that when talking to them, and don't bring the Spiral into it because although it's helpful once you know it, it won't make much sense if they don't. And you can't fully explain unless you have at least a full hour, realistically (which not everyone is down for).

Instead of the name calling and shallow Tik-Tok level rhetoric, try and focus the discussion more on actual policy.

Focus on how the other candidate's policies will help them more.

Also understand that it might be a bigger issue than you, meaning: Your goal should be to plant seeds of growth, not change their opinions through one conversation.

But could you answer me why I subconsciously decided to adopt your political rhetoric instead that of Alex Jones and Joe Rogan? Why a stage red individual as myself would have decided that your reasoning is more truthful and developed than that of the ones that spread RW propaganda. If you could answer me that, maybe we would find the reason why the average Joe has decided to view as authority the likes of Jones and Musk instead of people like you.

Someone is either pro-religion or anti-religion. That's would be my guess how these two sides have divided themselves in a nutshell.

Imagine for a moment, dear friends, that you are Conciousness, and that you have only this one awareness - that you are at peace, and that you are.

You could be right since I abhor religion with all my being. I loathe it so much! Probably that is why I also hate Musk, Trump, Jones and Rogan.
