Woke up in bliss today. Dis-identified from the mind. Pure beingness. How? Silence practice.

The whole of ACIM summarised in 2 quotes:

You do not really want the world you see, for it has disappointed you since time began. The homes you built have never sheltered you. The roads you made have led you nowhere, and no city that you built has withstood the crumbling assault of time. Nothing you made but has the mark of death upon it. Hold it not dear, for it is old and tired and ready to return to dust even as you made it.

Simply do this: Be still, and lay aside all thoughts of what you are and what God is; all concepts you have learned about the world; all images you hold about yourself. Empty your mind of everything it thinks is either true or false, or good or bad, of every thought it judges worthy, and all the ideas of which it is ashamed. Hold onto nothing. Do not bring with you one thought the past has taught, nor one belief you ever learned before from anything. Forget this world, forget this course, and come with wholly empty hands unto your God.

Borrowing from a fellow forum member’s post;

The path is narrow, as sharp as the razor's edge, and perilous (dangerous) in the extreme.

The idea 'I am God, I am Love'—ever pure and free, having no taint (stain) of worldly desire—is a great concept. If you can choose this trend of thought and follow it vigorously (with effort and dedication), it may help you to rend (tear apart) the veil of maya (illusion), the One concealing itself and appearing as the many, provided Reality wills it.

But to live a life of pure detachment (freedom from attachment) from all needs of the body, from all desires and longings of the mind, all your actions and thoughts need to be directed towards Infinity. Always keep alive the sense of discrimination (ability to judge wisely).

Reflect thus: 'I feel some joy here, but is it of the abiding (lasting) type called Atmananda (the bliss of the Self)?'

There must be keen (sharp and focused) discrimination between that which is fleeting (temporary) and that which is abiding (permanent) forever. Think always about the precept (teaching) that the Guru has given you: 'I am God.' While moving about, working, or resting, always seek refuge (protection and comfort) in That.

You must read about matters which will develop both introspection (self-reflection) and insight (deep understanding) into the realities of life; constantly seize opportunities conducive (favorable) to that end. In all your thoughts and outward actions, your sole aim must be to stick to God-Reality steadily (firmly and consistently) at all times.

~ Sri Anandamayi Ma

Jesus says the same thing. He constantly reminds that this world holds nothing that we want. I LOVE these statements most. They motivate me to let it all go and awaken. These are pointers to full awakening.

It is of course true that the human body lives by breathing, and hence there is suffering. ( Human life, in fact animal life in general, depends on breathing, which is a sign of disturbance in the universal equilibrium. The entire creation is characterised by this disturbance. The process of breathing implies a dual movement, inward and outward, and a periodic rest between the two. The state of harmony can be reached by getting rid of this urge for movement, by attaining to repose, calm and peace. This is possible through yoga. When one is in a state of perfect poise, there is no longer any need to breathe.)

There are two kinds of pilgrims on life’s journey: the one, like a tourist, is keen on sight-seeing, wandering from place to place, flitting from one experience to another for the fun of it.

The other treads the path that is consistent with man’s true being and leads to his real home, to Self-knowledge. Sorrow will of a certainty be encountered on the journey undertaken for the sake of sight-seeing and enjoyment. So long as one’s real home has not been found, suffering. is inevitable. The sense of separateness is the root cause of misery, because it is founded on error, on the conception of duality. This is why the world is called ‘du-niya’ (based on duality).

A man’s belief is greatly influenced by his environment; therefore he should choose the company of the Holy and Wise.

Welcome to the highest state of illusion,
inside my mind.
It's like a ravishing delusion,
of modern times.

Don't know if tomorrow,
brings happiness or sorrow.
No one knows the truth, but you...

Tell me, is it my destiny ?
To know life long before.
Tomorrow's history.

We are strangers and lovers,
facing each other,
standing at the gates of time.

Do we turn back or go with the flow.
We just don't know, we just don't know.

Yes I know it's technological wonder,
I read your mind.
Who will survive ?
Who torn asunder ?
Try to be kind.

Don't know if tomorrow,
brings happiness or sorrow.
Robots cannot lie, you must...

Tell me, is it my destiny ?
To know life long before.
Tomorrow's history.

We are strangers and lovers,
facing each other,
standing at the gates of time.

Do we turn back or go with the flow.
We just don't know, we just don't know.

You can't fake it.
You can't show it.
You need to decide which way you go.

You can't fake it.
You can't show it.
You need to decide which way you go.

Tell me, is it my destiny ?
To know life long before.
Tomorrow's history.

We are strangers and lovers,
facing each other,
standing at the gates of time.

Do we turn back or go with the flow.
We just don't know, we just don't know.

-----------

Just had a performance review at work. All good, but still quite intense. I felt anxious. Reminded myself - I am dreaming, I am dreaming. This is just a dream. I relaxed, and all was fine. Cool. Forgiveness.

Turns out Jeff Bezos as well as the founder of Dell and alot of other multi-millioniaires agree with Bashar. It’s simple, really. Find your calling and dedicate urself to it = profit. And ur happy, motivated whilst doing it. Best of both world - money and job satisfaction.

There’s just no hurry to do it. It takes alot of time to become world class at something, like 10-15 years if its something very complex like metaphysics.

Bezos’ also said that when Amazin is acquiring companies, they primarily look if the founder is passionate about what he created. He said if he is, then thise businesses are built to last. He can clearly see when someone is just working to sell the company to make money. Making money isnt bad, but if it’s all there is to a business, then it’s destined to fail.

Is this similar to positive affirmation?

Not even close. Affirmations are just thoughts. That’s the trap in manifestation teachings, believing you can just daydream and things will happen. No, no.. no matter what career path you choose, you will have to work thousands of hours to be good at it. The idea is that it’s by far wiser to do it with something you are passionate about, so you don’t burn out and live an inspired life and keep improving naturally. That’s like 50% of a good life - aligning your passion with your finances - being wealthy and happy. The other 50% is enlightenment, ofc.

Unrelated to above - when people ask Ken Wapnick what to do with things like video games and other desires — as they know that to get enlightened they need to let go of it all — Ken says to enjoy ur games, the final letting go happens at the end of the journey, when you’re old and ready to leave, not before. Makes sense. I tried to forcefully do it - doesn’t work, but it did show me that I can reach Nirvana purely by total commitment. Cool beans man.

There's a gap in your understanding.

Of course, manifestation is bullshit.

Yes this is right. That's why manifestation is bs.

But what happens when we say something 1000 times with faith, confidence and conviction, our Subconscious Mind starts controlling subtle things in such a way that our chances of achieving that thing increase.

A few years back, I used to write some results out of desire and confidence, and I was surprised I got exactly what I used to write. Exactly what I used to write. Exactly the same numbers in my results I used to write.

Mindset is also important. Manifestation is not 100% bs. There's something good in it too.

Edit : many times we lose just because of some self doubt and fears.. and affirmations remove such doubts.

Sure, it’s a part of it. The mind is powerful. Yet a much smaller part than what most manifestation students believe.

Back in university, I wrote down exactly what I wanted for my future. I set a goal for how much money I wanted to earn after working at a company for one year—and I achieved exactly that amount. Not only that, but I also wrote down that I wanted to be one of the top performers at my company, and out of over 2,000 employees, I became one of the best.

I even wrote that I wanted a job with no stress, and I got that too. But at first, it wasn’t easy. I had to work long hours, often being the first in the office and the last to leave. Looking back now, I can see how everything was aligned by Spirit to fulfill those desires. At the time, I didn’t even know what manifestation was. I wasn’t trying to manifest anything—I just planned out realistic goals and worked toward them.

Now, my goal is to align my passion with my finances and earn 3-5x what I make now—and to keep doing that for the rest of my life. The best part? The work required doesn’t seem that overwhelming, because it’s tied to my passion, and I’ve already been “working” on it for the past 10 years anyway.
