Should I leave Mexico?

I fear war. The United States has already put the cartels on their terrorlist, which makes a cruel war imminent. I can't rest, I can't sleep. What should I do?

Personally I wouldn't leave. One's greatest chances for survival it's on the environment which is most familiar to the said individual. Plus if you have land or house that you own there, you are better off trying to protect what you have. But if you own nothing there, I would have tried to escape already.

Do what is best for you. I just shared my opinion. Which could be very well wrong.

I don’t think the US is going to do much.

They already have enough problems with Ukraine, Israel, Iran, China and so on.

If he takes out the cartel your country will be free. You should like this unless your country is secretly funded by drugs. I don't think American people want war.

Cartel is fused with the government and many economic interests in different states of Mexico. It’s not an easy operation. It’s a tumor connected to all sorts of other important organs. You can’t just go in and tear it out.

I can't believe that Mexico still has drug cartels in their country.... that is insane. But don't worry, just mind your own business, be mindful of who is entering in your social circle, develop yourself, be friend only with people from spiral dynamics stage orange and above, develop your own business so that you can choose who will be your colleagues and clients and everything should be great.

The real solution is to legalize drugs and put the cartels out of business overnight.

It makes total sense that you would be afraid. You never know what Donald Trump is actually going to do.

I would stay put until there's real movement and not just talk. Donald Trump loves to talk about things and not do them. So, I wouldn't leave right now.

But if I were in your position, I would create an escape plan, just in case.

And I'd get my passports ready as soon as I can as well as any other necessary travel documents.

And in the worst case scenario I would plan to go South to a Central American country. My pick would probably be Costa Rica. But I had a friend visit Guatemala, and he said it was really nice.

I'd also look up what the naturalization process is if things become sustainably less safe.

The important thing is to map out a route to safety in the worst case scenario... but continue to live as though the worst case scenario isn't going to happen.

My family and I have a bug out plan in case he starts doing some crazy anti-immigrant stuff like genuinely invoking the Alien Enemies Act and not just talking about it. My husband is an immigrant, so we have to be vigilant.

There's an 90% chance that it's just talk to fire up his base. But that's still a nonzero chance.

Plan A for us is to drive to Toronto. Plan B is Costa Rica.

Would you like it if another country with more military power than us sent in an invading military operation and maybe dropped some bombs to fight the war on drugs in America?

They'd come here to "fight the criminals" but you know the civilian death toll would be massive. 

It's honestly silly to think that Donald Trump waging a war on terror against drug cartels would cause anything but suffering for the regular people living in Mexico.

He might be talking about special forces using military equipment that the cartel dosent have. 

IE exploding precision drones and no civilians die and they just pick them off with Intel.
