Mega-Thread of Low vs High Perspectives

This thread is a collection of short illustrative examples of low and high perspectives of all sorts. But do not just post anything here. We are looking for short, potent, clear examples that convey a view in nutshell form. We are also trying to illustrate specific features of views that make them low or high, such as demonization, strawmnning, projection, pig-headedness, etc.

Only post exceptional examples which illustrate a point.

Be selective about what you post. Less is more. Don't post long videos that meander without a point. Think of this like clips you would show your child to teach about low vs high worldviews. Your child is not going to watch a 30 minute video for this.

I thought this was a great video.  It is sometimes possible to have a macro view and be missing things at the micro level and certain vice versa.  It's great to be able to both zoom in and zoom out.

Low perspective: silly and cartoonish (literally) straw-man argument in against gun laws in the US.

Feature-absence of fact checking-doesn't acknowledge a vast number of gun crimes are committed by legally obtained firearms as shown in link:

Juxtoposition between high and low perspective:

Low: Trump believing in the self-deception that he deserves authority over others. Lying and applying force to gain power. Decrease in sovereignty.  

High: Pence putting democracy above personal political and career agenda. Respects truth. Increase in sovereignty.

Low perspective (surprisingly): personally, I like Robert Reich but his perspective here is not grounded in reality and lost in utopian fantasy. As progressives do, he refuses to acknowledge the ignorance and lack of development of average voter.

Feature: denial, based in fantasy/ideals and not realities of human survival.

Feature: Gaslighting, disregard for facts/science, conspiratorial thinking, conflating subjective interpretation for objective facts/reality.

High: Places a strong value on truth and honesty. Meta-awareness of honesty as a self-image, seeks to go beyond.

Of course this is tricky because even low-perspectives think they value truth. But given everything I know about Ralston, I think it's safe to assume this is coming from a high-perspective.

Low perspective: pickup coach expresses value system- under the premise that only losers date a women who are not at least 10 years younger.

Feature: materialistic, hyper masculine, takes its value system as objective (what’s true for it is true for everybody-under all circumstances).

High perspective: Bishop Mariann Budde addresses Trump during sermon. Noticing the level of calm, cool and collected energy she has when expressing her worldview in a non dogmatic, non confrontational way. 

Feature: Centeredness, emotionally mature, non reactive, thoughtful, empathetic, expansive circle of concern, compassion.
