Loneliness is purifying

5 posts in this topic

You know that meme with all sorts of animals from fish to monkeys in a classroom, and the days lesson was to climb a tree. We do the same in spirituality, just sit and meditate and magical stuff will happen. Well for some it just doesn't happen. For me was loneliness who craked down my ego. Embrace loneliness and suffering, don't fight it! Sit with it util it melts your ego. Now I get Leo's statement with the homeless man having more chances to get enlightened than the spiritual rats. The spiritual rats have attachments, have hopes and expectations, which are EGO. The homeless man has nothing to live for, there is no story he or she tells to himself or herself anymore, and without a story, there will be no self.

Many ‘spiritual’ people are full of shit. And many spiritual gurus are usually narcissists who seek attention and narcissistic supply to boost their false self image.
The self identification as ‘spiritual’ is a trap.
And aloneness is much more important than we were taught to believe. It cures. And it liberates.

If some holiday in India and Thaliand did not fulfill them, if their friends and partners don't fulfill them, they thought that spirituality might fulfill them. This is why I love this work so much, because you cannot just be a hard working success baboon and win at it. It requires wisdom, deep intelligence, not just hard work.

There's already no one so it doesn't matter. Everything exists. Everything. Whichever scenario it is, it is. Yeah, I know, stfu.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.
